    “Would recommend!”

    This was by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. It had a pool and the bed felt like a cloud. There were unique bathroom things like dental kits and razor kit. The breakfast spread is must eat venue and it was not far away from little restaurants.

    “Our room was not cleaned by their staff. We”

    Our room had not been cleaned nor new towels supplied. Rang Reception to complain, but received no apologies, their only comment was “ you must have left the Do not disturbed sign on your door”. Asked for a T V program for our room. Promised to send one up. But never did,

    “great stay”

    This was a very good hotel. Friendly reception. The swimming pool was GREAT! The room was very nice, clean, good space, and nice to have a balcony. Breakfast was also very good. No negative points to say

    “Modern hotel, with outside pool, parking (fees) relatively near beach and city centre”

    Good hotel, convenient to Centre and beach whether by car or public bus ( number 16 or 27) or wish to walk (there is a steep hill to negotiate). Taxi from main bus station ( where the airport buses arrive/depart) is €10 max for 2. You can only get a taxi from a taxi rank or if in hotel , ask them for a ticket and taxi turns up in around 5 mins. The local bus services cost €1.75 for a single journey. There is a stop outside hotel. Coach to/from Bilbao airport is €17 each way. Recommend you download the coach app to book your tickets ( this can be tricky if flight delayed as you have to nominate bus time ) but it could save you time at airport as queue for ticket machine can be long. Hotel receptionists very friendly and if you book direct as Barcelo member you get a credit to use during stay. Did not try breakfast or dinner so cannot comment Outside pool is large and there are sun beds and umbrellas . There is a new fitness and indoor pool being built next to hotel but when we stayed. the work created little noise. The walk to the beach and town will take c20 mins down the hill and c30 back as quite steep. Recommend the bus/taxi if too much. Twin room was good size and cleaned daily. Loads hanging space, safe and mini bar. Bathroom more than adequate albeit folding shower screen was a bit fiddly but nothing to worry about. Overall an enjoyable 2 nights in this fantastic city.

    “Functional hotel”

    The hotel has good facilities (nice buffet breakfast, good gym, nice pool). The rooms are also clean and functional and the location is good. The one major let down was the reception staff who were quite unhelpful. This was particularly an issue when one evening there was a lot of noise from other guests, however we did request to speak to a manager regarding this and they were much more helpful in finding a resolution.
