    “Lovely hotel”

This is a really nice hotel, very modern, comfortable, good value. Things they could improve on are bar staff (not very friendly), put kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery in apartments and speed up on service in general. The apartments are much nicer than the standard rooms and have much more space with a living room and dining area. I would recommend this as a place to stay in Milan, but beware it is quite far out from the city centre so you need to travel on public transport to get to the centre. It is not near to any stations but they do provide a transfer service to Lampagnugo metro station for free but it only runs at certain times of the day and you have to pre-book Alternatively, it takes about 15 mins to walk to the overground train station, Certosa, but you have to walk through an underpass which is where lots of homeless people live, so I wouldn't advise doing this after dark.

    “Be warned”

Planning to stay here in August. Had reason to amend my booking. Was charged €144 for the privilege - despite rebooking. Very unimpressed. As I had rebooked I have no choice but to say or forfeit another €144. I will not be using this group again.

    “OK base”

Exterior looks nice and modern, inside a bit like an IKEA store. Rooms large and airy. Good air conditioning in room and bed comfy. Re the lifts which are dreadful, use the lifts hidden at the rear as no one else sees them and it will save you queuing with everyone else. Note that breakfast doesn't start until 7am so if an early start is your thing consider staying somewhere else. Location of this place is outskirts of town and there is not a lot else around so you'll need a car or taxi to get anywhere.

    “Modern comfortable like home”

Better than expected, and only 15 min. footwalking distance from Certosa Station 22-stories tall building with large-scaled rooms, and a great view all over Milan. Surprising good breakfast buffet. If they change coffee offer from Nespresso to anything with fresh beans, ist would be 5* to me

    “Drive Trough Hotel”

Low quality service, lifts are slow or none (15 min wait time), we lost something in the hotel and it refused to send it. We send fedex to the hotel and they cannot arange the package. Room had a kitchen without equipment. Parking is not clear (you need to pay 2 euro then 12 euro for the right one). finally the breakfest had no butter ? :)

Dear Johny, Thank you for sharing a review of Barceló Milan. It does indeed sound from what you describe that some aspects of your stay did not meet our usual standards of service; please accept our sincerest apologies for failing to make your stay with us a perfect moment of relaxation, we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. At Barceló we lay high value on our personnel being guest oriented and welcoming at all times, being fully aware that their interactions with our guests have an enourmous impact on the overall holiday expérience in our hotels, therefore we are sincerely sorry to read your comments on the service your received and commit to adjust any situation that leads us away from our goal being to make sure our guests feel welcome and attended to at all times. We would like to introduce our apologies for the technical problem with lifts during your stay because all systems are for internal protocol, checked daily to ensure our quality standards at all times. Unfortunately, lift maintenance has gone beyond the due. Thank you again for making us your choice hotel on this occasion, we look forward to serving you again in the near future. Kind Regards, Pedro Cordón General Manager
