    “Lovely hotel but ....”

I went to the Jandia Mar with family. Upon arrival, the reception were extremely helpful and sent us to the Buffett restaurant for dinner as it was very late and it closes at 10:00. I was quite surprised when the staff gave us instructions on how to reach our rooms. I think I must have been thoroughly spoilt but when we were told to climb 6/7 flights of steps to our room dragging 2 small children and 5 cases! I was gobsmaked! Maybe employ a couple of porters to help? Apart from the steps, we did enjoy our holiday. The rooms are spotless

    “Don't pay for sea view!”

Great hotel and having a great time, the only thing that is spoiling it is we paid for a sea view, went to reception to complain and told that is a sea view and if we want they can move us 4 days into our 7 day stay! Yet our friends view who didn't pay extra has a better view!

    “Brilliant Holiday”

Having spent one week in March this year at this hotel, we found the service, food, drinks and accommodation to be very good. The hotel amenities were great and the animation team made every effort to keep us entertained.

“Amazing holiday!!! Does not deserve the negative comments ”

We started our holiday on the 2nd of June until the 16th of June so 2 weeks. It was myself, my partner and our 3 year old daughter. Before I write my review and opinions I would like to say that I read some very negative comments on here about this resort and I believe they are very un called for and not Necessary at all. We had an amazing 2 weeks here! We arrived very late to the hotel due to a late flight! We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist named Miriam (I think) her English was great too! She checked us in very quickly and was very nice to our daughter. She notified us that they had opened a small section of the restaurant especially for us and other guests that had arrived very late. We were able to eat and drink a small selection but at 11 at night this was perfect for us. We then went to our room! Room 4204 The room had a beautiful sea view, it was immaculately clean with high beam ceilings and huge very comfy beds! The bathroom was great too, with bath/ shower very powerful, bidet, sink and toilet. The only down side was we had to find our room in the dark with all our bags and a 3 year old. It was in block 4 and there were no lifts in this block and we were at the top and carrying all our cases and a 3 year old was hard so we decided to ask to change room. We went straight back to reception who said they would have a room available in a couple of days in the main building, they were so accommodating and understood fully why we wanted to move room, we snapped this up! New room was 415 It was equally as good as the first room but even better location! We had a mountain view at the fron and still a sea view also a pool view from our balcony and this time we had a lift, so very happy! The food was fantastic, we've been to some very high end all inclusive hotels before and after reading reviews about this hotel I must admit I was worried about the food, however they were so wrong, the food for breakfast consisted of full English breakfast, freshly made eggs, omelettes, churros and pancakes, cereals of all types, it also had continental style breakfast so basically catered for every taste in food. They also have a separate kids buffet room too! The same applies for lunch and dinner! At dinner they have a whole section for fish, section for meats and a section for pastas, pizzas! aswell as various other areas for salads, fruit and breads. They while a huge variety so even the fussiest of eaters could find something they liked! There is a separate section in the centre and this is where they would do theme meals, like Asian, Mexican, Indian, etc etc, again great food 👍🏽 at the entrance of the restaurant they have a huge touch screen station (giant iPad) on here you can see every menu and mealfor every day, you can then tap on the food and read about it! I've never seen this! Fantastic idea! 👍🏽we were greeted at the restaurant door my staff they were so friendly and knew our daughters name and would say ola Ariana every meal. The pool bar served every drink imaginable, they then have help yourself soft drinks waterand slushys, our daughter loved this. You could also help yourself to beer, all wines and sangria, we loved this as it saves you having to line up each time. We spent most of our time either down and the incredible beach, or by the pool! The hotel run a free bus down to the beach! It's one of the nicest beaches I've been to in the world! White sand and blue water! But beware of the nudists! There are lots, we found it funny but some people might not. The pool at the hotel by the pool bar was our favourite. It was very warm water and it's slopes down so perfect for kids. It was so warm that our daughter loved it so much she learnt to swim under water!!! Only 3 years old. They have an amazing animation team who provide games and entertainment all day! They were all brilliant with the kids. They also have a mascot called barcy who our daughter loved! Another simple yet brilliant touch. The shoes at night were very entertaining and they had 3 very good dancers. They also have outside entertainers come in too. Our daughters favourite animation team member was Sara!!! Ariana loved her!!! They have a snack bar and bar by the pool, we had most of our lunches here, again it was buffet style and still a good selection. The hotel was only a 5 euro taxi away from the town and nicer part of the beach. we visited the turtle sanctuary too at the port, they have shops to visits and outside restaurants too. We preferred the beach by the light house! We loved this hotel! The 2 weeks we spent here were brilliant! I would love to go back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with kids! Or even couples! We took lots of pictures too. I could probably write lots more but I won't bore you all 😉 This was an Amazing, chilled yet very fun holiday so thanks to all at the occidental jandia mar!!! 😘

“My stay at occidental jandia mar”

I enjoyed my stay even though the food wasn't that good quality but the staff were friendly, pools were nice and room was very clean. The location wasn't very good as hotel was at top of a steep hill so people who can't walk far would have trouble walking up the hill
