    “Nice relaxing mini break”

We had a very enjoyable short break in March. Our room was excellent and we had sun on the balcony when the sun deck and pool areas lost the sun in the late afternoon - we went in March. Another nice touch was that in addition to a couple of chairs on the balcony they had matching footstools so we could sit back and relax with a book or a tablet later in the day. Service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and efficient. The only gripe was the dining experience which I don't think matched up to a 4 star hotel. It was very busy at meal times and not very relaxing. We had to find a table ourselves in a very busy and hectic restaurant. We were able to get a table outside at breakfast which was better but in the evening it was very busy and noisy and you had to go and get your own wine or beer from a tap and if you wanted anything else to drink instead with your meal then you were out of luck. Having said that the food itself was excellent as was the choice. We had one evening in the al a carte which made a lovely change. Overall though I would recommend and if only they could sort something better out for meal times it would be an excellent hotel.

    “Poor Public Relations”

Visited for an evening with friends having stayed here on previous occasions. Overall accommodation and hotel services were fine however check in at Reception was poor, unorganised and unwelcoming. Staff barely smiled. The main issue of the stay though was created by Public Relations person Cynthia [--] who approached us on 2 occassions abruptly and rudely. Occassion 1 was because we had moved sunbeds from one area to another after being told we could by another member of staff. Her whole attitude and conduct towards us was awful. Occassion 2 was because at 7pm we were singing and laughing in the chill out sunbathing area and 1 customer had complained and yet again she approached us abruptly and rudely, was only concerned about the 1 lady who wanted to read her book on the balcony. A further incident occured as we were gettung teady to leave when she ushered out of the bar 2 members of our party who wanted a glass of water to which she replied its 12.15..your all inclusive finished 15 minutes ago you must leave!!! Cynthis [--] is a rude none customer caring indivdual that should be working in a none customer facing role. She ruined the stay and as a result we will not be staying again.

    “Good, could be better”

We came after the Easter rush with Jet2holidays and stayed in the main block in room 521. We booked at the last minute and were pleased to find a great deal at the Occidental Margaritas. We were not bothered about alcoholic drinks or an all inclusive package so chose half board. I will concentrate on the things we wanted to know, but couldn't seem to find out beforehand. 1. Arrival. The transfer was fine, but was a bit longer than the 30 minutes advertised as there were drop-offs at several other hotels first. The receptionist was fine and we also paid for a safe (€3 per day + €12 deposit) and pool towels (€10 deposit + €2 per change). I believe that a safe should come as standard on every holiday, all hotel should want to keep its residents' belongings safe. There was a Santander cash withdrawal machine in reception and a small shop in the basement. There are numerous small supermarkets in the area of the hotel. Prices are competitive to the UK. 2. Bottled  water. The guide on the transfer coach recommended buying water. It was only  €1.33 for 8 litres in the nearest small convenience store, but it is a bind carrying it back! 3. Refrigerator. It was included, but was not that cold. We were left two small complimentary water bottles on arrival. Good place for milk for my tea as I brought my own decaffeinated tea bags, which was a good job as there was a wide choice of fruit teas, but no ordinary "decaf". Useful also for lunchtime snacks. 4. Wifi was free and worked reasonably well, but was open and not password protected. 5. The room. Comfortable beds, with plenty of pillows, but our "double" was 2 singles pushed together. As others have stated the aircon is poor, but we left the door open at night with the fly screen across which kept us reasonably cool. The shower was powerful, but took lots of twisting and turning to get the right  balance of temperature and power. The shower gel/shampoo  and other soap, etc. were fine. It is noisy in the evenings as the entertainment is by the pool and our balcony faced that way, but it finishes a bit after 2200 and then quietens until there is very little background noise, except crickets, about 2300. A kettle was provided. Overall the room was fine, but did look a little "tired"; some pollyfilla and a coat of paint needed. Great wardrobe with plenty of space for hanging and storage. A few more drawers or cupboards near the 'fridge would be good to keep dry foodstuffs in. 6. The food. Great selection and regularly replenished, but it was a bit of a "bun fight". Some food can be warm only, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. There are microwaves.  If on half board you are supposed to get a chitty for drinks orders on the way in to dinner. We were also allocated the earlier sitting on arrival, but no one seemed to check. Plenty of seating, with good efforts to keep the tables cleared. Usual amount of folk barging their way around the food stations without concern for others. There is a lack of space so you have to take your time. Some folk got a bit grumpy when they couldn't sit where they wanted to, or get at food they had spotted. Show cooking went on most of the time and we enjoyed the produce. We enjoyed the home cooked sweet potato crisps. Lovely puddings, but the ice cream melted very quickly; same ineffective refridgeration as in the bedroom!  Great selection of eggs at breakfast, even the poached eggs had soft centres! It was a marvel one morning to watch a bodybuilder work his way through a dozen eggs cooked in different ways. 7. Ouside areas. Lovely manicured gardens, but many steps and not always clear how to get to various places. The pools are as others have described, but quite a hike from the main building. Sunbeds are plentiful, with little evidence of towels being used to "bag" one, it would be better if they had cushioning. 8. The "rep". Tony was very helpful, especially with ideas for pain medication from a local chemist. They are able to prescribe, which was useful as I had pains that kept me  awake. He was most assiduous and 'phoned to check how I was.

    “Lovely family break”

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are a family of 4 so we were in the apartments. the main bed was so comfortable, lovely linen and pillows. It was a bit of a nuisance having the sofa bed up, made it a bit cramped, shame they don't have 2 bedroom apartments. Having said that it was perfectly adequate and you don't spend much time there anyway. We were all inclusive, food was ok and good selection of drinks and snacks to help your yourselves to. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the al a carte restaurant as I was ill the night we were booked in. Facility's were good, 2 pools, not a problem getting a sun bed although they are a bit close together. Staff were very nice. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there, they must have noticed this on the check in details as we did not say anything. On his bithday they left us a bottle of cava and birthday cake in the room, a really lovely gesture. My only complaint about the hotel is that if we return we would have to have 2 rooms as my children will be 15 and 13 by then and they will classed as adults by the hotel so cannot have an apartment again.

Lovely holiday went with my boyfriend for a week and I'd say it was an 9/10 experience. Staff are very lovely and friendly and will help you with anything. The rooms are spacious and cleaned spotless daily. The bathroom is nice and modern and comes with plenty of towels and little commodities. The self service all inclusive alcohol is a treat as well as the two snack bars. Hardly can fault the place just the elevator which can be a bit slow and sometimes isn't level when reaching the floor so you have to be careful to lift your foot up.
