    “Wow”

    I've stayed in a lot of hotels but this was simply the best I ever have. Perfect holiday! Perfect location. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Rooms were incredibly clean. Even planning to go on a family holiday next year now.

    “Enjoyable week away”

    We were a bit apprehensive about the hotel after reading some of the reviews but we were not disappointed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel was what you would expect for the price. The self service drinks could not be faulted, with the outside self service staying open until 11 PM, thus cutting down the queues at the main bar. The hotel in general was very clean and we were pleased with our room, finding it to be very modern with probably the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. The entertainment in the hotel was also very good, albeit a bit repetitive. It is obvious that the entertainment team work very hard and it is also nice to have the option to sit inside with live singers for some of the evenings. We also thought the mini-nightclub disco area was very good. It's exactly the sort of the thing you want when on holiday if you like to have a dance but don't want to leave the hotel, it is the best evening entertainment I've had at an all inclusive hotel. Free wifi throughout is also a bonus, it was sketchy at times but when it's free you can't really complain. Our main gripes with our stay were that some of the reception staff were very rude, we encountered this with more than one member of staff and it is just unnecessary. The food is fairly standard for an all inclusive of this calibre- I did not enjoy it on some occasions but I am a fussy eater, my partner always found there was more than enough choice. However one gripe we both had with the food is that it is not filled up quickly enough, it was not uncommon to go up to eat and find 6-7 empty dishes and the salad is really poor. We went to the apartment block on our last day in order to use the shower room and I would not have been impressed had we been staying in this block, the air conditioning was poor and the rooms look tired and old. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and I would return, however I think an upgrade to the premium wristbands would be well worth the money in order to get a better choice of cocktails and use of the private area.

    “Very nice holiday”

    Stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely holiday. The hotel was very clean and well kept, staff were very friendly and always smiling. A few people on the reviews have complained about the food, we thought it was brilliant, there were always a number of different options everyday with a counter at the top where chefs were cooking fresh meats or fish, considering that dinner is served for 4 hours and it's an all inclusive style restaurant the food is always hot and fresh. I think people complaining are forgetting it's a buffet style all inclusive not a 5 star restaurant where you're ordering from the menu! The room we had was very spacious, air con worked well and bed was really comfy, I think the apartment style rooms were a little tired but the hotel rooms looked to have been refurbished not too long ago. The entertainment wasn't too bad, nothing special but we still had a good time and the team work hard with what they've got. The way the drinks are done where you just help yourself to the alcohol bottles and soft drink machines works really well. Probably my only complaint is that by the sitting area in the outside part of the restaurant there clearly used to be a water feature style river, this is empty and needs to be fixed as would be really nice working but was a little ugly empty. All in all a very nice hotel!!

    “Great hotel few issues.”

    So we arrived around 6.30pm and was greeted by Rupesh. Very rude and continued to find him rude throughout the week. Ive since found out you can use the a la carte once during your stay which he failed to state at Check in, no information is very forth coming. Rupesh also decided to argue with me in regards he said only two checking in when intact my paper work said three wasn't until i actually pointed out the paper work and never apologised for being so abrupt. Room wasn't set up for Three however was done very quickly. Our room had no air con, i reported this three times to reception and all I ever got back 'Its been reported'. We gave up in the end. My only biggest annoyance was the swimming pool being salt water, the worst in my opinion. Food was great most of the time, personally I would avoid the burgers i found one raw and the pork in the restaurant once i cut in was raw. Other than that, great location,Maspalomas in a taxi costs around 5-6 euros and Yumbo is 10 mins walk or 3.50 euro in taxi. Entertainment is fantastic, you can see the effort they put in, best entertainment team I've seen. Overall was a lovely relaxing holiday, I would return to Gran Caneria but I would look at a different hotel.

    “Occidental margaritas”

    I cannot recommend this hotel and staff highly enough, we had a fantastic holiday. From the reception to the evening entertainment the staff were amazing. The food was good and every night something new. The beach football was great and the pool was warn and clean.
