The Boho Market: something for the whole family

Open from 28 June to the end of August, this market is held in one of the most beautiful estates in Chiclana, El Sotillo. Despite its name, the Boho Market is actually the best place to sit on a terrace, listen to music, have a drink and browse some of the most alternative stalls in this part of Cádiz. The lovely, boho-style décor makes a stroll through the open-air space a must for those who want to enjoy Sancti Petri even if they don’t plan on buying anything.

It is hard to leave the Boho Market without treating yourself to something special, however, as it boasts many stalls selling clothing, jewellery, home decor and even natural cosmetics. You can also find cultural exhibition areas and workshops in an art gallery-type space that is very popular with visitors to the market.

When it comes to food, the terraces offer everything from Mexican dishes and traditional tapas to hamburgers and even Indian food stalls and vegan options. There are also bars serving only drinks and ice cream stalls with something for everyone. In addition to live music and DJs, there is an area offering face painting and workshops for children, which is a perfect option for a great family outing.

Melk-ART market: a must for crafts

Located in Novo Sancti Petri, this market is a magical place when night falls and all its lights turn on, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Only taking place in summer, it stays open until 1 am, allowing visitors to enjoy the cool Cadiz evening air among food stalls and craft stands.

It is worth noting that there are many regular vendors who often bring different and original collections, attracting many repeat buyers every summer. Among the most popular stalls are those selling clothing, silver and jewellery as well as handmade items such as ceramics, candles and even wooden toys.

Next to the market there is also a fairground with soft play activities and various attractions for children, making Melk-ART the perfect choice for young and old alike.

Getting to the market is very straightforward, and the background music and various workshops, as well as the activities available in the surrounding area, attract many visitors every night who come to enjoy the market.

Besugo market in La Barrosa

Located in La Barrosa, one of the liveliest areas in Chiclana, especially on summer nights, Besugo market is open every day from sunset until 1 am and located next to Venta el Pino. It is a unique attraction for tourists and locals alike, especially for its décor, which resembles an enchanted forest where you can find the best craft stalls offering highly original items, especially from local artists.

The market has several different areas with stalls selling clothing, jewellery and handmade items, including ceramics and decorative items in general. In one corner you will find Besugo Secret, which offers more exclusive items and a much more distinctive atmosphere.

While strolling around you will come across spots where you can take a special photo before posting it on social media, as well as play areas for children. Some days of the week there is live music and other types of shows, which are an added bonus to the wonderful time you will have strolling through this unique market.

Campano second-hand market

You can also find more traditional markets in Sancti Petri, such as Campano market, which sells second-hand goods. Held every Saturday and Sunday morning from 8 am to 2 pm, it is located close to the restaurant Venta Campano.

The market is one of the most popular places in the area for those who enjoy searching for small treasures and antiques at flea markets, as it has stalls selling used clothing, books, toys, plants and even second-hand furniture that still has a lot of life left in it.

Campano market is also one of the most popular places near Sancti Petri for collectors, as it offers them the opportunity to find real gems among vinyl records, stamps and other vintage items. As with any good traditional flea market, haggling with the seller is a must and the conversation can become very lively, so we recommend having a hearty breakfast in the area before embarking on your treasure hunt. Keep in mind that there is no shade and parking can be difficult in summer, so getting there early is advisable.
