TOUR DESCRIPTION

After picking you up at the meeting point in Oviedo, we will head to Gijón, a fascinating city that blends history, culture, and stunning coastal landscapes.

In Gijón, we will embark on a guided walking tour to explore its most authentic corners. Our journey begins at Plaza del Parchís, a lively square surrounded by residential buildings and green spaces, known as a favorite gathering spot for locals. From there, we will make our way to the breathtaking Playa de San Lorenzo, where we will witness how the golden sands merge with the Cantabrian Sea.

We will then enjoy a pleasant stroll along El Muro de Gijón, a well-known seaside promenade that stretches across the city and holds many fascinating stories that we will reveal along the way.

Next, we will delve into the charming Cimadevilla neighborhood, the oldest and most authentic part of Gijón. Here, the maritime spirit intertwines with Roman remnants, creating a truly unique atmosphere. In Cimadevilla, we will take a short break to enjoy a refreshing drink before continuing our walk toward the harbor, where we will admire the nautical surroundings and the majestic Palacio de Revillagigedo.

This impressive 18th-century palace holds a curious secret: while its two towers appear identical, one is actually 300 years older than the other! Right in front of it, you’ll notice a statue of a knight holding a cross. Did you know that this is Don Pelayo, the first Asturian king and a beloved hero among the people of Gijón?

We will conclude our tour at the elegant Plaza Mayor, the perfect place to reflect on the wonders we’ve discovered during these two hours filled with history and charm.

After the guided tour, you will have some free time to explore Gijón at your own pace.

On our way back, we will take a panoramic drive with a brief stop at La Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura, one of the city's most iconic landmarks.

Don't miss this opportunity to explore Gijón with total comfort! We look forward to seeing you!
