Snowshoe Trails in Asturias

210

Snowshoeing routes in Asturias are one of the most engaging physical and recreational activities during winter. They consist of walking on snow using snowshoes to avoid sinking or getting wet, with the aim of reaching incredible snowy landscapes while enjoying all the benefits of taking part in an activity that is beneficial for both our physical and mental health.

Our snowshoeing routes are easy level and are guided and led by certified professional Mountain Guides. During the activity, you will learn which terrains and slopes are suitable for using snowshoes, as well as basic safety concepts and mountain techniques. We start from scratch, so if it is your first time, we will teach you everything you need to enjoy a wonderful morning learning, walking, and enjoying the landscape and the snow.

The snow routes last approximately 3 hours and are designed for active people, including young participants, children over 10 years old who are active, and adults who regularly practice physical activity or mountain sports.

In this activity:
You will learn how to use snowshoes from scratch, how to identify risk areas, and how to walk in snowy mountain terrain.

The best:
Getting started in snowshoeing, the vast snowy landscape, and the panoramic views and scenery of the Cantabrian Mountains.

In this weekend activity, we will take part in an easy-level snowshoeing route lasting approximately 3 hours. It is designed for people who do some exercise during the week and for active children or young people (able to keep up with an adult’s pace). Through practical exercises, we will learn how to use snowshoes. This knowledge will provide us with the skills needed to take on routes of higher difficulty and longer duration.

However… you will also have time to take photos in the snow, admire the landscapes of Asturias and León, see the Fuentes de Invierno Ski Resort and the San Isidro Ski Resort, and even spot animal tracks!
