Beginner-level snowshoeing is a winter sport that consists of walking on snow using snowshoes, allowing you to move without sinking or getting wet. This activity is ideal for families, children, couples, or anyone who wants to get started in mountain and snow sports with low physical effort and maximum fun.
Our beginner-level snowshoeing routes are guided and led by certified professional Mountain Guides. During the activity, you will learn from scratch which terrains and slopes are suitable for snowshoeing, as well as basic safety concepts and mountain progression techniques.
These experiences are specially designed for families with children, people who do little physical exercise during the week, those recovering from an injury, or anyone who simply wants to try snowshoeing for the first time.
In this activity, you will enjoy a unique mountain environment without skiers and learn this exciting winter sport from the ground up.
The best part: Getting started in snowshoeing, the beauty of the vast white landscape, and nature in its purest state.
In this activity, we will take part in a beginner-level snowshoeing route lasting approximately 2 hours. It is an easy route with very gentle slopes, especially designed for families with children or for those who want to try this experience for the first time. Through practical exercises, you will learn how to use snowshoes, acquiring basic skills that will allow you to take on routes of greater difficulty and duration in the future.
Meeting point: La Raya, La Braña, Asturias, at the top of the San Isidro mountain pass (AS-253 Road), Asturian side.
From Oviedo, head towards Felechosa and continue along the mountain pass road.
