After the pickups, we will head towards the coastline known as the Costa del Atún—one of the most beautiful coastal areas in the province of Cádiz.
To begin the excursion, we will visit the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia, located next to the famous Bolonia Beach. There, we will explore an ancient Roman fishing settlement renowned for its production of garum sauce. In this remarkable setting, we will travel back in time as we discover its forum, theatre, and temples.
The excursion will continue to Tarifa, which holds the distinction of being the southernmost city in Western Europe. We will enjoy a short walking tour through the old town of this charming place on the shores of the Strait of Gibraltar. Among its main landmarks are the Church of San Mateo Apóstol and the Castle of Guzmán el Bueno, steeped in countless legends.
After the visit, there will be free time to enjoy Tarifa’s local cuisine. On our way back, we will take an alternative route to visit Zahara de los Atunes.
