Description
The Sierra de Grazalema is home to some of the most characteristic villages of inland Cádiz, where traditional architecture and natural surroundings shape a landscape rich in contrast. This excursion follows a route designed to appreciate these places at an unhurried pace.
The first stop is Bornos, where you will visit the Palace of the Ribera, a Renaissance-style complex surrounded by gardens that reflect the influence of different artistic movements in Andalusia.
The journey continues to Zahara de la Sierra, set on elevated terrain with wide views over the surrounding area. Walking through its streets reveals its traditional layout and the presence of its castle, a defining element in the town’s history.
In Grazalema, the pace becomes more relaxed. A guided walk through the village is followed by free time to enjoy the setting or have lunch. Its white houses and decorated balconies create one of the most recognisable images of the region.
The return takes place along a mountain route, offering panoramic views of the landscape and nearby towns such as Arcos de la Frontera, adding a broader perspective to the experience.
