Between rolling hills and the Atlantic coastline, southern Cádiz is home to villages where history and tradition remain deeply rooted. This excursion connects two of its most representative towns: Vejer de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera.
The journey begins in Vejer, one of Andalusia’s most iconic white villages. A guided walk through its historic centre reveals whitewashed streets, inner courtyards and hidden corners where traces of its Arab and Christian past can still be felt. The route includes sites such as Plaza de España and the old town walls, key to understanding the town’s strategic importance during the Middle Ages.
The itinerary then continues to Conil de la Frontera, a town closely linked to the tradition of tuna fishing. Along the way, you will visit places such as La Chanca, a historic building associated with the almadraba fishing system, and the Tower of Guzmán el Bueno, offering wide views over the coastline.
The experience also includes access to the SEMA Museum (Sea and Almadraba Exhibition Hall), where you can gain further insight into the region’s maritime heritage and its long-standing economic importance.
A route shaped by quiet streets, layered history and the constant presence of the Atlantic.
