This excursion to the Islote de Lobos guarantees a complete and unforgettable experience. This small island, which takes its name from the monk seals that inhabited its shores until the last century, covers an area of just 4.5 square kilometres. Its endemic flora and fauna, combined with its crystal-clear waters and stunning volcanic landscapes, have earned it the status of a protected Natural Park.
To reach the island, we will take a short ferry ride from the port of Corralejo, lasting approximately 15 minutes. During the crossing, you will enjoy spectacular views and the striking clarity of the turquoise waters. Once on the island, and after booking lunch at the only restaurant, we will continue along the path to La Calera (La Concha) Beach. This idyllic bay is home to an archaeological site from Roman times, linked to the production of purple dye used in antiquity.
We will then continue uphill to the summit of La Caldera Volcano, standing 127 metres high, where the breathtaking panoramic views more than reward the effort. Afterwards, we will head to El Puertito, a charming former fishing village. Here, you will have time to relax, swim in its natural pools, and enjoy lunch at the island’s restaurant.
