Discover the historic heart of Fuerteventura with this experience in Betancuria, the oldest capital in the Canary Islands, founded in 1404 and considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The activity lasts approximately 4 hours and includes transfers from Caleta de Fuste.
The excursion begins with a stop at the Guise and Ayose Viewpoint, dedicated to the island’s ancient aboriginal kings. From this panoramic spot, you can enjoy sweeping views of the volcanic and desert landscapes that define Fuerteventura.
The tour then continues to a traditional cheese dairy, where you will learn about the production process of Majorero goat cheese and taste one of the island’s most representative local products. The route proceeds through the historic centre of Betancuria, including visits to the San Buenaventura Franciscan Convent, the Church of Santa María and the Archaeological Museum of Fuerteventura.
Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll along its cobbled streets, browse small local shops or relax at a terrace before returning to your hotel.
A cultural journey through history, heritage and local tradition in one of the island’s most emblematic settings.
