Description
Departing from Santiago, we will begin with a visit to one of the area’s best-known wineries. Taste three different varieties of Albariño wine, accompanied by snacks, and discover the region’s liquid gold.After the tasting, we will head to Praia da Lanzada, a place steeped in Celtic legends and traditions as well as Christian rituals. Enjoy beautiful views over the bay and the waves breaking against the rocks.
A visit to the Rías Baixas would not be complete without Illa da Toxa. We will discover its famous Capela das Cunchas, a chapel entirely covered in scallop shells, and the bridge connecting O Grove with A Toxa.
Galicia’s waters and mussel-farming rafts are known around the world. On a catamaran trip lasting approximately one hour, learn about this distinctive way of cultivating Galician mussels. Enjoy mussels, wine, soft drinks and water as we sail through the Ría de Arousa.
After tasting mussels and any other seafood offered on board, we will head to Combarro, one of Galicia’s most charming villages. Its seaside granaries, stone houses and carefully maintained streets make it an unforgettable place for a stroll. There will be time to explore its streets and discover local traditions.
Finally, relax in the Río Barosa Natural Park, whose mills and waterfalls make it a favourite with local visitors.
We will return to Santiago de Compostela after discovering this wonderful stretch of Galicia’s coast, its traditions and its culinary treasures.
