This spectacular golf course has been redesigned and remodeled by renowned architect P.B. Dye. Since its inauguration, this course has been a must-see destination for both resort and non-resort guests. Set in a lush mangrove forest, the course features 25 beautiful lakes and122 strategically placed sand traps. Taking advantage of the Bávaro area's natural beauty, the design incorporates native species and plants around the greens. In addition, it offers a wide range of services, such as transportation, safeguarding and cleaning of equipment, lockers, high-quality golf equipment rental, and more.

The golf course was designed by renowned architect P.B. Dye who personally supervised and oversaw the entire process. The course opened in December 2010 for hotel guests and the general public.
The golf course runs through a lush mangrove forest, with 25 lakes inland and 122 strategically placed sand traps. The course makes the most of Bávaro's natural surroundings, and the fairways are surrounded by native plants and species.

All clients enjoy complimentary green fees, but remember that using a golf cart on the course is required and has an additional cost.
One (1) free Green Fee per player per night of stay, subject to availability. The free Green Fee does not include the cost of the golf cart (mandatory).
10% discount on golf carts, club rentals, and golf lessons (for guests who book in the Premium Level category only).

If you prepay a 4-round package, you get a 20% discount, not cumulative with the 10% Premium Level discount.
All rates are per player and their accompanying guest per round. The use of golf carts is compulsory; it is forbidden to walk on the course.
A round of golf includes 18 holes, drinks, a bucket of practice balls, free equipment storage, transportation to the golf course from your room, locker, showers, and local taxes.

Payment must be made in the golf pro shop, and only credit cards and room charges will be accepted. Cash is not accepted.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the reserved tee-off time to avoid fines. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge equal to the rate.
No refunds are issued under any circumstances. As a courtesy, rain checks may be awarded at the club’s discretion.

The Lakes: where golf and nature meet
The Lakes is not just any golf course. Designed by the renowned P.B. Dye, it combines a challenging course of elevated greens, 75 bunkers and multiple lakes, with nature and wildlife that you will fall in love with. Playing golf at The Lakes is also encountering herons, flamingos and peacocks, creating a picture that completes a fantastic day of golf. It is an open field, with no houses around, where numerous tournaments are held. Barceló Films immerses us in this field, which is, on its own merits, one of the most visited in the Dominican Republic.
