    “Review”

    Great choice for families with children. A lot of pool activities, great staff. Good evening events. Sometimes it is necessary to wait for a rush to the breakfast table. Very good tennis courts. Very good spa.

    “Tries hard to be what it isn't”

    We spent 10 days here with TUI. The Barcelo group rate this hotel as 4 star. TUI rate as 3 +. It isn’t. It’s a 3 star. The staff are really great and friendly and do their very best, but the place needs a refurb and new furniture badly, especially the dining room. The chairs are blue cloth, but not nice at all when someone has come in from the pool still wet. I don’t like sitting on wet or damp chairs! I don’t understand the buffet system either. When the serving dishes are emptying, instead of bringing out a full one, they take the half empty one away to the kitchen and then bring it back full some time later. So there is never any time, except at opening time, when all the dishes are there and you end up eating in stages or hanging around waiting for them to come back. The standard and quality of the food is mostly good. Towards the end of our 10 days, they had clearly become busier because we then had to wait outside the dining room for half an hour in a queue for breakfast on three mornings. Surely, you have enough tables to accommodate your guests. I felt so sorry for the staff on these days because they were run ragged, but they still managed a smile. Our room needed a refurb too. The bathroom door didn’t close and there were two holes in the bath that had just been filled with sealant. We reported the water pressure twice, because it just gave out and there was nothing coming out of the taps or the shower. They apparently fixed it twice, but we gave up with it in the end. The entertainment area is not fit for purpose and has multiple pillars, so there are very few seats with a clear view of the small stage area. On one evening, even this view was ruined by a guy filming the stage act and standing in front of everyone. It's also not "next to the beach" (Barcelo website quote). It's a ten minute walk away with some inclines. Fine for us as we like walking, but others may not be prepared for this. I’ve attached a photo of the view from our balcony, which was lovely and the view from our door, which was not lovely and was the hotel dumping area.

Also,we do apologize for the technical problems you encountered; there are absolutely no excuses for details to be overlooked as all rooms should be thoroughly checked on a daily basis. We will make sure that the procedure is being reinforced. On the other hand,I am grateful for your compliments towards our staff, whose kindness and helpfulness is one of our hotel's greatest strengths. We have taken note of your various constructive comments and please be assured that we value all our guests' feedback to be of utmost importance to us and will ensure that the necessary corrective measures are taken accordingly to avoid any similar situations in the future.     “No complaints”

    Stayed here with TUI holidays. Great - not one thing to complain about. Lovely helpful staff, good food, rooms serviced every day. Pools set in lovely grounds with palm trees and cactus gardens, so quite happy to stay put. Playa de la Arena is quite a small place and the hotel is at the end of the town. Bus stops for Los Christianos and Los Gigantes right outside the hotel so plenty of opportunity to explore.

    “Amazing Stay 5*”

    This is the 2nd visit to this hotel and what can I say.... loved it! I emailed ahead to the hotel with regards to my father having walking difficulties to ask for a low floor and close to reception and buffet. We arrived late Monday night 9.30 and was offered to eat first before checking in... good point. Our room was situated in block D 214 these rooms are bigger than the standard apartments with a shower room ideal for my father who can't use a bath. And right in front of the reception and bar area. The pools was all open, we spent most time down by the kids club one due to having a slide (my little one loved it). The food offered all day snack bar and in the restaurant was delicious, always restocked and plenty of choice. Yes there was flies around whilst eating but what can you do?? The entertainment of a night was fab, we all really enjoyed it. This was my second visit to this hotel and the reason I went back was the staff, food and what the hotel offers 👍. Not much around the hotel beach about 5/10 mins and a few bars/restaurants/shops but we wasn't bothered due to just a relaxing holiday! There is a spar next door if you need to grab anything! Already looking to rebook for a few months time you staff are a credit to you always happy and speak.... this hotel offers something for everyone so definitely worth a trip... thank you Allegro Isora see you soon

    “allegro isora”

    good allround hotel. This is our second time at this hotel and we will be booking again for next year.A little noisy at night as the windows dont seal allowing noise to enter. Especially at about 10:30am when the entertainment begins with music that then booms out all day. otherwise a good all round holiday
