    “Very disappointing”

    Our first and definately last holidays here! Dirty and disgusting restautant - dirty dishes, dirty floors, dead cockroaches under the tables, dirty table surfaces - never watch the waiters cleaning the tables! You will regret it! The restaurant was permanently overfilled and noisy. Food was boring and mostly the same. We‘ve been eating outside for half of the holidays... Also we don‘t get the point of using plastic spoons and bowls in a restaurant... Huge production of garbage! The appartement was nice, but the fridge was broken. Swimmingpools have been nice with salt water, but the water slide was out of order during the whole stay :(

     Dear guest, I am so sorry to see that your experience at our hotel was far from satisfying as it seems you encountered a number of issues. I can ensure you this is far from usual, and we regret not being immediately informed. We have taken good note of your remarks on the cutlery in our restaurant and have shared your comments with our head of department and want to take this opportunity to explain that all dishes, cutlery and glasses are washed in industrial dishwashers at extremely high temperatures so as to not only remove any kind of food but also to ensure that all resistant bacteria are killed. All pieces are then replaced in the buffets by our staff who verifies that every piece is clean and spotless and clearly we were not performing to our usual standards on this occasion and encourage that in future you point out any imperfection whilst onsite for us to be able to intervene immediately.  Likewise, we have also read your comment regarding the cutlery of our restaurant, and we would like to inform you that only the ice cream scoops are made of polycarbonate, for safeguarding the environment, for everyone else, we have cutlery in steel. Also,thorough cleaning is an absolute must for Barceló and we follow very strict protocols to guarantee satisfying results regarding hygiene and cleanliness in our hotels, for future occasions we strongly encourage you to contact our réception in the event of finding any area of uncleanliness , this will give us an opportunity to bring your remarks to the attention of our housekeeping management. In addition to this I am sorry you had issues with the fridge in your room, had you informed a member of our team I am certain this would have been rectified in a quick and efficient manner for you. For a future occasion please do not hesitate to point out any imperfection if any appears. Finally, as a close-knit team, we are collectively committed to providing our guests with a superb experience.     “allegro Isora”

    make sure you have a car or are prepared to chill by the pool all day. entertainment superb, pools superb, food good, buffet layout a disaster wants complete reconfiguration of counters cooking area, rooms clean, beds okay evening entertainment a bit repetitive over 2 weeks.

    “Almost there....”

    We are here at the moment. After reading reviews we were unsure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised in some areas and disappointed with other aspects. We were allocated a slot of 7.00-8.00pm for evening meal. We get to dining room for about 7.45pm and very calm. All good and no queing for food. Other slot is 8.30-9.30pm which is absolute mayhem. Breakfast is till 10.30. We come down for about 10.00am and again very calm. Pool area is good and never had a problem getting sunbeds. Myself or my wife went down and put towels on before 9.00am. Only thing is that twice we have put a parasol by our beds and when we have come back to our beds this has been taken... Today is Sunday and the same as other Canary Island hotels we have visited there is a massive influx of locals that come for the weekend and cause absolute chaos. No respect for anyone or anything. They take over large areas of the pool and are so noisy and ill mannered. This needs sorting when they are checking in as a lot of other English guests I spoke to feel the same. It spoils the holiday on the days they are in the hotel. The locals need to be told that there are other guests that are in the hotel and it is not there for their sole use. The other big let down for us is the evening entertainment..badly organised and not very well executed. It seems that whatever show is on it is thrown together and half of the "performers" have no idea what's going on. They wander on stage and just start. Maybe a compere or a host that announced what was about to happen would help?? Really really bad organisation, or lack of it.... Will update review after we have completed second week....

    “Disappointed 😔”

    The cleaners are nice but very noisy! Being woke up by them talking loud. Bad English at reception 1 or 2 was helpful . The restaurant is crazy can hardly get around! Prefer the snack bar quieter - food and drink is ok! Nice deserts.Key cards break easy. Pool area seems nice and Bar people are very nice!

    “Reminded me of walking into a sweet shop”

    A lovely clean and welcoming hotel. The reception smelt of sweets and the rooms were clean and airy . Fridge in the room with water in the fridge and safe balconys for children. Plenty of sun beds, comfy too but salt water swimming pools. Plenty of choice at meal times and kids club entertainment is very good and friendly staff. Entertainment at night was occasionally disappointing. Would definitely visit again. Give u a room for 30 minsn after check out to shower for free.
