    Overall stay was excellent. Royal service was great. I didn't have a chance to enjoy the benefits as I was on business and working. Everyone was friendly, located on a main road with lots of things to see and do. Plenty of shopping. Aruba is beautiful

    “Barcelo Bon Apetit!”

    Pleasantry within paradise! The Barcelo is comfort and accommodating. Staff is diligent and personable. Overall food quality is good, not great. Swimming pool was nice, although the usual resort issue of guests holding spots with towels and personal belongings for countless hours. For us, we went back and forth between pool and beach, as well as enjoy alternate excursions to keep pool issues off-balance. Rooms were kept up and always fresh and clean by housekeeping. Laundry service was very good. Cocktails were tastey. It was the Sun in the Fun for sure! Don't forget to enjoy a Cuban cigar in the evening on the beach. There are ashtrays under the tiki umbrellas. Looking forward to our return.

    “Wedding & Honeymoom”

    My husband and I got married at Barceló July 9th. Joally was our wedding coordinator. She is so amazing but, her plate is to full. During wedding season there should be another wedding planner. 1 is not enough. When we were planning the wedding it took three to two months to even get received an email confirming our wedding date was available. We had a meeting (scheduled months in advance) to meet with her and unfortunately she was helping another wedding so we did not get to meet with her, we did however get to meet with her assistant. I do believe Joally and her assistant did everything they could. We traveled here with a party of 11. We were all greeted with smiling friendly faces. My husband and I booked an ocean front jacuzzi room and this is where the madness began. The room was beautiful, but it was about 80 degrees and the light fixture in the bathroom was leaking water. My husband almost fell slipped and feel on the water. My husband called matinees and they were up right away. He told us that we would probably be moving rooms. We waited around for about an hour until my mother in law had enough and went to the concierge office. The concierge lady’s are amazing. They are kind and helpful. They placed us in a suite for the night and gave us complimentary couple messages. We were suppose to be moved into another jacuzzi front room the next day. All was well, so we thought. The next day (day before the wedding) we were moved into the room with a broken AC. My husband had maintenance come work on it and he was told give it 20 minutes. We left for our excursions, my mother in law was extremely upset that we did not meet with Joally so she went back to the concierge. They told her if my husband and I got back before 9pm we could meet with Joally. Because of this we cut our excursion short and raced back to the hotel to find no Joally as well as a room with a joke of an air conditioning. Now I’ll be honest here this is the point of my wedding/honeymoon where I almost lost it. We got management involved and Joally got involved. The hotel was at occupancy so I had to stay the night in this room. Thankfully Barceló made it all up. They gave us a complimentary private dinner on the beach after the wedding ceremony and they upgraded our room to a master suite. I am so grateful they both of these thing. This was thankfully the turning point of our trip. The wedding ceremony and dinner was so beautiful. All the staff was so helpful. The resort is so beautiful everything was so beautiful. Barceló is pretty great. There is security everywhere. We never once felt unsafe. Durning our wedding ceremony there was a low life couple having sex on the beach that I wish security would of handled but sense it was on the beach I don’t think there was much they could do. With all that being said I still recommend Barceló. They bent over backwards to make sure the rest of our stay was amazing. I definitely recommend upgrading to Royal the food is completely worth it. Our families were not on royal level and they weren’t that impressed with the food. The japiness restaurant is the best non Royal restaurant. The food and drinks are extremely good. Boy was our server and he was so funny and friendly. All of the staff at Barceló lis kind and personable.

    “July 4th Vacation”

    Perfect weather with a great week! Second stay at this hotel and this time stayed Royal level 9th floor. Would recommend this level. Amenities are worth it! Having private dining was a big plus. Had our own bar at the beach. Couldn’t of asked for more. We had our 18 year old children with some friends set up on Lower level and it worked out perfectly.

    “25th Anniversary”

    The Best Trip Ever!! We will be back! Friendly Staff, Clean, Safe, Everything you need for a wonderful time! Perfect Location- soft sand- the bluest water - cool breeze- AMAZING! Our room was clean, fresh smelling and comfortable. Entertainment staff was fun and the shows were great! Frozen Drinks flowing all day- What more can you ask for?!!!!
