    “A little something for everyone”

    Barcelo Aruba has something for everyone. peace and quite, beach activities, Partying during the night, Theather entertainment. And most of all good food and drinks. The staff was very professional from the greeting upon our arriveral on down to the house keeping staff. I highly recommend this resort. We will definitely be returning.

    “40th Wedding Anniversary!”

    This is our 5th time back to Aruba, the past 4 times staying at the Barcelo Resort property(formerly Occidental and Allegro). The 1st time we were in Aruba was 40 years ago for our honeymoon We spent our 40th Anniversary at the Barcelo resort and loved the location, beach access & friendly staff. We especially liked the closeness to the beach and the beach huts. Pool was great and everyone was in a party mood. Consider this "boutique" hotel on the paradise island of Aruba. It 's just the right size to navigate; not overwhelmingly big, not too far to walk anywhere within. Enough restaurants and selections for any palate. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Most people I met are return vacationers who agree The Barcelo is the best. Must give shout outs and kudos to: Dorell, Ketty, Enrique, Warren, Eric for their great service. Will be back!

    “Average Experience if you are used to higher end all-inclusives”

    We booked a 5 night trip as a short get-away for a friends birthday celebration. We arrived late (midnight) due to cancelled and delayed flights. The hotel was nice enough to offer us free room service that night since we had not eaten. It was a nice gesture but most all-inclusives already have free room service so I wasn't overly impressed when I found out it wasn't included already. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. A few lights didn't work and we had to call to have our room refrigerator replaced because it wasn't working. The breakfast buffet was fairly good and about what you would expect at most all-inclusive hotels. The custom omelettes were quite good. The other restaurants were very average for lunch and dinner except for the Japanese Hibachi restaurant which was excellent. All of the real quality food must go there. The steak there is great but the steak in the other places is dried cardboard. You will have a hard time getting more than one reservation there for that reason. We had to call the front desk every day to remind them to refill our fridge and bring us more water. If we didn't call, it didn't get refilled. Don't be fooled by the $500 resort discount credit offer. You can try to use it at the spa or gift shop but none of them will accept it. GoGo Vacations stated on our itinerary what you can use it for (spas, gift shop, room upgrades, etc), but when you try to use it nobody knows what your talking about and claim that they are separate from the hotel. It's a classic bait and switch offer so go into it knowing that you will use 0 out of $500. Every day we would go out to the beach or pool to find that every single chair with shade had a towel on it. People must go down at 5am and save their chairs. Finding a decent spot in the shade on the beach or at the pool is difficult...It's quite annoying. It's a small place and the beach is very crowded. They ran out of fresh beach towels every day, several times per day. We had the same wet or damp beach towel a lot of the time. Get some more towels already! Service at the pool bar was FANTASTIC but for some reason, you can drink their cocktails all day and not even feel it. Either I have suddenly developed a unique tolerance or the well liquor is watered down. There are no choices on liquor either. It's generic well liquor or Aruban beer. The hot tub was broken all week. The outdoor shower by the beach works but the foot wash spigot was broken so you couldn't easily rinse the sand off your feet. The resort has a very small casino that we did win some money in. The staff inside are not friendly or even welcoming (Particularly the grumpy female pit boss). I recommend going into town and hitting the Krystal Casino or the one at the Marina. They are way better. Overall, I would say we had a very average experience considering where we have stayed before and that we paid about the same to come here. I love the island of Aruba and will likely come back but it will not be to the Barcelo.

    “Stay at Barcelo”

    Our stay at the Barcelo was excellent from start to finish. The staff is friendly and super helpful. I was traveling away from my baby for the first time and the staff was more than accommodating on helping me store pumped milk so that I could bring it home after. The beach is right in front of the hotel and the pool is nice too. We tried each of the specialty restaurants for dinner, Kyoto was probably our favorite!

    “Excellent Resort”

    Was there for our 25th anniversary and the room view was amazing. The whole stay was great and the staff and food was excellent. Pool bar was fantastic. The DJ and daily activities were great both on the beach and in the pool area. The m\nightly entertainment in both the lounge bar and ballroom were also very good
