    “Beautiful resort with great service ”

    We had an amazing time again at the Barcelo Aruba. We dined every night at the Royal Restaurant and the Food and Service was Superb. Manager George and Staff Ederlina , Jaime and Gershwin went above and beyond making every night a memorable experience. We highly recommend that you visit this Restaurant and experience their service!! You will not be disappointed! Special shout out to Sandra and team Liza and Nathalie . Eugene , Martin and Jane . This was our second trip here and definitely coming back again!

    “Came around to really like this place”

    If you read my reviews, I try and be as objective as possible. This resort ended up being a solid 4. I’ll start with the excellent to very good. The staff here is phenomenal. They all work together, they hustle, they are friendly and will help you with any reasonable request. They also handle issues with professional acumen. There is some negatives that I’ll get to but the staff handled rude people very well, professional and you had to see the beginning developments to know what was going on because they handled things that seamlessly. That meant a lot cause there were a lot of fantastic folks vacationing but a fair share of jerks. The room we had was excellent. Clean spacious and comfortable. The maids did an excellent job daily. The drinks were fantastic. We had access to a private bar with top shelf liquor. The main lobby bar had top or second shelf liquor as did the restaurants. The pool bar was fun typical bottom shelf liquor with the good mixers not the cheap ones. The good to very good... Their are some excellent food options but this resort is inconsistent. I had a beef and gnocchi meal at the Italian restaurant that was very good. On another night at that restaurant I had grouper that was not that great. The Japanese restaurant was excellent as was the Mexican. The seafood restaurant had a fantastic staff but seafood was average at best. If they get consistent here that would remedy the situation. Now the not so excellent..., When you read about the chair situation it is true. This kept me from given this place a five. The pool is where they need to figure things out. In my opinion you should be able to get a space with an umbrella. People who expect front row at resorts are not realistic but for the price you should get a seat. At the beach I do not agree with any negative reviews. The beach staff was excellent. It is a public beach but everywhere in front of the hotel was impeccably maintained. Again people who expect to walz I. At 11 am and get a hug overlooking the water are unrealistic. Overall very good.

    “Great Resort!”

    We had a great time here, only a few issues with keycards that were fixed by the front desk. The food here was good. Definitely enjoyed the Italian and Mexican restaurants. Our server Elmo at the Mexican restaurant was very attentive and friendly.

    “Family vacation”

    My family and I just returned from a week at the Barcelo Aruba. The staff at this resort made the trip extra special. They were warm, helpful and worked very hard to provide a great experience. GEORGE being our Maitre D in the Royal Level Restaurant, he was very attentive & outgoing in which makes you & your family feel comfortable & at please at all times. Sandra and Eugene lead their team to Exellency!! We experienced The Palms Buffet once and was surprised to see and catch up on our Dear Friend Miss Jane Braafhart now the Human Resources Director. Beach Staff is amazing very pleased with the service of Bartender Germain knew what we wanted to drink, provided suggestions and connected with us on personal levels he demonstrated love for the hotel and gave us comfort like family. Housekeeping, and the views were breathing taking. Plenty to do on property, so really no need to leave and explore. We will definitely be going back!!

    “Falling Apart ?”

    We booked a suite at about $950 per night... beautiful room. The problem was that in order to get to the room you had to ride in an elevator in which the doors were covered in graffiti. Seriously... the elevator interior doors and walls had graffiti to rival a middle school bathroom (“Maria N Bryan”). Totally discouraging and aggravating to look at each and every time you ride the elevator. Needs to be repaired immediately. Joe A
