In Tenerife, there is still a hidden treasure, a corner of the island where you can contemplate all the history of the island; from the first volcanic eruptions to the present day. The San Blas Environmental Reserve is a jewel of nature and culture in the Canary Islands. More than 500,000m2 of a protected area where you can see the traces of the island's volcanic past, the endemic flora and fauna that settled in this area thousands of years ago and the vestiges that humans have left in the territory: from the Guanches to the present day.

The fact that it has hardly undergone any transformation and remains in a state similar to that of hundreds of thousands of years ago has contributed to the survival of very characteristic ecosystems of this place, contributing to its enormous archaeological, biological, geological and historical interest. In the reserve we can see endemic species that have been preserved to this day, numerous archaeological sites and caves from the Guanche period and vestiges of a more recent past that help us understand what life was like here in earlier times. Among the most important finds, we find a Guanche vessel recovered in one of the caves of the reserve and which is exhibited in the museum.

Nature, creativity, fun, emotion, culture and technology are mixed in one of the best kept secrets of the island, all of which enable you to enjoy a unique experience in the middle of a volcanic landscape.
The San Blas Environmental Reserve can be visited through guided tours of approximately two hours. The tour includes a visit to the Museum dedicated to the history of the San Blas Environmental Reserve, where you can discover the uniqueness of the rich natural and cultural heritage of this place; and the interactive Tunnel of Historical Experience , inside which we can feel first-hand how the Canary Islands were formed, as well as their evolution over time, the colonization of Tenerife and even the ship where emigration to the Americas is shown.
