    “Hardworking staff and nice rooms”

Impressed with how hard working and dedicated the animation and dining room staff are. Good variety of food to suit all tastes. Rooms meet 4* rating however furniture in lobby and restaurant didn't do hotel justice with some chairs damaged in restaurant causing my wife to pinch her fingers on the joints. 1 receptionist in particular gave me a poor impression of the front line services of whom should lead by example

    “A great stay with friends”

A lovely clean hotel that ticks most of the boxes. Wouldn't recommend the evening entertainment but that's just my (and friends) opinion. There's also building works at the moment which we wasn't informed of. But overall a great stay - rooms clean, staff friendly, food tastey. Self service throughout the day, but had to wait in queues for drinks in the evenings. Would recommend and would visit again.

    “Amazing hotel and area”

Me and a friend stayed at allegro isora for two weeks at the beginning of June and we were all inclusive. We booked with Thomas Cook. First of all, the hotel was absolutely lovely and we had no problems!! Very accommodating and well-equipped for everyone's holiday needs. We did a range of activities, which involved staying at the hotel and making use of the pools as well as using the very good bus service to explore the island, during our 2 weeks in Tenerife. The hotel is big with 3 large pools, however during our stay one of the pools was closed for refurbishment. However, this did not negatively effect our stay as the building work was very quiet, we didn't even realise it was happening! Also, the other 2 pools are big enough that they weren't crowded. The pool area is also very nice and has many sun beds. One area that could be improved is the number of umbrellas or shaded areas. By around 11 in the morning all the umbrellas had been claimed, so the hotel should definitely invest in more umbrellas for around the pool! Our room was also lovely! Its very big and included more features than we really needed. Our room had a living space with a TV, which had many english channels, a small kitchen area which included a fridge which we used to store water in which we brought from the small supermarket which was a few minutes walk down the road and was very reasonable with a 2l water bottle being 85 cents. The bathroom was also very nice and spacious. The bedroom was also very nice and comfortable! The bedroom included a safety deposit box that can be rented for 21 euros a week which we did. The room also included a balcony area and a small washing line to dry clothing which comes in very handy after a day at the beach or pool! The only negative thing about the room is the lack of wifi with in the actual room when we were told that you could access wifi in the room. We only really used the wifi to look up bus routes etc but it was slightly annoying to have to sit in the reception area or by the pool to get undisturbed wifi. The room cleaners were amazing! They cleaned our rooms thoroughly every day. Also, even though the road and bus stops were directly outside our rooms, it was very quiet and we slept very well. The curtains are black out curtains so that also helped! The food was very nice. There was a wide variety and there was something for everyone no matter likes and dislikes. The waiting staff and cooks were also really good. They were very kind and attentive. A nice touch was being greeted at the door by what we assumed were the mangers. All the food was delicious and there was plenty of it as it was replaced regularly when it ran out or had been sat there for a while. There was also an area that was serving freshly cooked meat and fish which was also a nice touch and added to the experience. The snack bar by the swimming pool was also very nice and served burgers, sausages, chips, bread, salad and fruit everyday from 11:30. They also sometimes do a BBQ which was delicious. My only complaint about the food was that the orange juice tasted slightly bitter sometimes so I would avoid that. It was nice that they had a board with menu on so you can see what they are serving during the week. However, one negative surrounding the food and all inclusive service is that when we asked if they do a packed lunch for all inclusive people if we would not be here for lunch they said no. I feel this was unreasonable as we had paid for all inclusive but we were not receiving it. Apart from that the all inclusive service was great! The reception staff were also lovely and very helpful. They helped us work out the bus timetables and gave us a timetable as they are very complicated!! The area was very nice and the hotel was well situated with the bus stop being directly outside our hotel room! The bus are very frequent and take you all over the island. The 473 and 477 are the most frequent and most used. These buses will take you to Los Gigantes, with the journey being around 15 minutes at the most, which is the main tourist attraction in the area. This is also the place where lots of boats trips depart from. The area around the hotel is hilly and not suitable for those who have trouble walking. The beach, Playa Del Areana, is a black sand beach and is very pretty. However, it is best to get for around 9:30/10 am as the sand gets unbearably hot later on in the day. Also the sea is very intense with big waves and strong currents so be careful! There are lifeguards which are very attentive. My only big complaint about this holiday is with Thomas Cook. The book process and transfer to the hotel was absolutely fine and easy. However, thomas cook does not send a holiday rep to this hotel, which we couldn't understand. They gave us a number to ring if we wanted to book trips etc. We rang this number and we were on hold for 25 minutes overall. The person on the other end didn't seem to know what we were talking about when we were asking about a trip which we had previously researched before going on holiday. She kept putting us on hold to try and find the trip but she was unable to and when we said we didnt want to book with them, the person was rude to us. So we decided to not book the trips with Thomas Cook but rather book with a excursion company that is a few minutes walk from the hotel. We booked two trips with them and they were great! Overall, we had a great holiday and the hotel was really good! The only negative was down to Thomas Cook.

    “Great holiday in this hotel”

Lovely relaxed casual hotel, food excellent. Rooms a little tired and air con inadequate. All it needs is a couple of extra bar staff in the evenings! Hilly area but great for walking if you're fit, spectacular scenery. Don't choose this area if you want a beach holiday or nightlife - small black sand beach and not suitable for swimming due to big waves all the time we were there. We went on the all day island tour book able nearby, stunning Sea of Clouds and Volcano, recommended.
