    “Really poor service”

    Room service is a disaster. It took them 2 hours from the time I called the first time (I had to call 3 times) to the time the food arrived. The food arrived cold and not cooked through. Linen was not clean. Desks are tiny. My laptop didn't fit on the desk and I was at the executive floor.

    “Bar team”

    Stayed for a week with 20 other guys and the bar team was always happy and served good drinks. The rooms were good and the cleanliness was always of a high standard. the only down side was the lomg wait times for the elevators every day, so most of us just used the stairs.

    “Terrible”

    Terribly rude staff and a hotel that simply does not function. I've never written a review before and I've stayed in some great places and some awful places. However I had to write a review about this place. Totally disgusted with the staff, restaurant is poor and room a dirty. The staff were completely disinterested in solving problems.

    “First time to Prague”

    My wife surprised me with a city trip to Prague staying at the Occidental Praha. I always judge a hotel by first impressions and I can honestly say that I was extremely impressed, despite it "seeming" out of the way. From a few weeks before checking-in to checking-out, the staff were very pleasant, friendly, helpful, honest and professional. The exchange with the staff before arrival on the city and it's environs, transport to the hotel from the airport, excursions, shopping and dining, ensured that everything went smoothly and obviously gave me immense peace of mind before touching down. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfy, the breakfast buffet was quite varied and obviously caters to a lot of different nationalities and preferences. The bar and restaurant was cozy and the food was very very good. The Arkády Pankrác shopping mall is not far away and in walking distance and is fantastic. We used the hotel shuttle upon arrival and when finding out local transport (apart from taxi's) do not accept cards, we decided to use a "private ride" app which had excellent coverage and was well worth it. The distance to the center where the main activity is, is a short ride away and very accessible from the hotel. The hotel staff were also very helpful in guiding us in tours, places to visit etc and although we booked everything ourselves, well worth it. We got to see a lot in what was really a short space of time. Locals we met were very friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to come back. James

    My wife surprised me with a city trip to Prague staying at the Occidental Praha. I always judge a hotel by first impressions and I can honestly say that I was extremely impressed, despite it "seeming" out of the way.
