Step aboard the Canfranc Express and experience the atmosphere of the historic railway journeys that crossed the Aragonese Pyrenees during the 1950s and 1960s. Departing from the iconic Canfranc International Station, this route offers a different perspective of one of northern Spain’s most distinctive mountain landscapes.
The train consists of a panoramic carriage, a premium restaurant coach and compartment carriages designed for groups of up to eight passengers. Large windows accompany the journey through Canfranc, Villanúa, Castiello de Jaca and Jaca, revealing forests, valleys and traditional Pyrenean villages along the route.
Every passenger will receive a historic-style ticket that can be stamped at the station ticket office before departure, together with a small onboard gift. The classic interior design and the unhurried pace of the railway create a nostalgic atmosphere closely linked to Canfranc’s railway heritage.
As the train moves through tunnels and mountain scenery, the sound of the tracks and the changing landscape turn the route into a memorable way to experience the Pyrenees.
