After you receive your eSIM product please make sure that you have completed all the steps from our quick guide instructions:
Quick Guide:
1. Make sure you have a good WiFi connection, preferably not a satellite connection (found on ships or airplanes) nor free WiFis (like cafes or airports), as these might not work.
2. Go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM / Add Cellular plan.
3. Scan the eSIM with your phone’s camera to install it.
4. Find the newly installed eSIM on the list and assign it as the main/primary for cellular data. You might want to deactivate other SIMs/plans, to make sure you avoid charges from the data roaming feature.
5. ENABLE data roaming for the newly installed eSIM.
6. Restart your device.
During step 3, if you cannot scan the QR code you can alternatively insert the manual input installation details that we will include in our product email.
To check for SIM restrictions:
For iPhone - You can check by going to Settings->General section->Tap “About”, read next to “SIM-Lock”, “Carrier Lock” or “Network Provider Lock”.
For Android devices(Samsung-based instructions) - You can check by going to Settings->Connections->Mobile Networks->Network Operators->Turn off “Select Automatically”, and wait for a bit. If you see a list of multiple different available networks then your phone is unlocked, otherwise it's locked and incompatible.
