Step into a night where science, nature, and wonder meet.
At Finca Astronómica in Cartagena, we invite you to disconnect from city lights and experience the universe as few ever do — through professional telescopes, guided talks, and live astrophotography in an authentic rural setting.

Each Astronomy Night combines education, relaxation, and discovery.
Guests enjoy free time to explore the finca and its animals, share dinner under the open sky, gather by the bonfire with marshmallows, and then take part in a complete astronomical program — including laser-guided constellation tours, optical and robotic telescope observations, live astrophotography streamed to a screen, and big-screen astronomical presentations.

This specific experience is relaxed and educational, welcoming curious minds of all ages.
Astronomy Night is also offered in several other formats:
• Adults-Only Nights (Fridays) – calm, atmospheric evenings for guests 18+.
• Private Astronomy Nights (Sunday–Thursday) – exclusive group experiences tailored to your interests.

Optional overnight stays in glamping pods or yurts are available for those who wish to extend the experience. Wake up surrounded by silence, sunrise colours, and the lingering memory of the stars.

Whether you come as a family, a couple, or a group of friends, every visit offers something different — the night sky itself never repeats.

What to bring?

Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor evening temperatures
Closed shoes (no heels or sandals recommended for walking in low light)
Optional red flashlight or headlamp (white light is not allowed during observations)
Personal medications, insect repellent if needed
Warm layer or jacket — even in summer, nights can feel cool
Camera or smartphone (no flash use during the astronomy program)
Curiosity and patience — astronomy is a slow art under real skies!

Dog blanket if bringing your pet (pets not allowed on bedding or furniture)

1. Llegada y tiempo libre en Finca Astronómica
Comienza la velada rodeado de la tranquilidad del entorno rural de Cartagena.
Pasea por nuestra finca ecológica, conoce a los animales, explora los jardines o simplemente disfruta de una bebida y relájate bajo los colores cambiantes del atardecer.

Este es el momento de desconectar de la vida urbana y permitir que tus ojos se adapten poco a poco a la llegada de la noche en Finca Astronómica.
2. Cena — buffet al aire libre bajo el cielo
A medida que el cielo se oscurece, disfruta de una cena recién preparada, servida en buffet al aire libre.
Los sabores locales, los ingredientes de temporada y el ambiente rural relajado hacen de este el momento perfecto para compartir historias antes de que las estrellas tomen protagonismo.

Las necesidades dietéticas especiales pueden atenderse con previo aviso.
3. Charla de astronomía
Nuestro astrónomo te introduce en las maravillas del universo con una charla amena, adaptada al cielo de esa noche.
Descubre los principales objetos celestes, aprende cómo funcionan los telescopios y prepárate para la sesión de observación que viene a continuación.

No se requieren conocimientos previos — la curiosidad es suficiente.
4. Hoguera y malvaviscos
Reúnete alrededor de la hoguera para una pausa acogedora entre la charla y las observaciones.
Asa malvaviscos, disfruta de una bebida y deja que la noche se asiente mientras la Vía Láctea empieza a aparecer sobre nuestras cabezas.

A los niños les encanta este momento… y a los adultos también.
5. Observaciones astronómicas guiadas
El momento culminante de la velada — un recorrido guiado y en múltiples formatos por el cosmos.

El programa incluye:
- Presentación de constelaciones con puntero láser, identificando estrellas y elementos celestes a lo largo del cielo.
- Observaciones con telescopios ópticos y robóticos, que ofrecen tanto vistas visuales como observación automatizada de objetos celestes.
- Astrofotografía en directo, transmitida en tiempo real a una pantalla para observar de cerca planetas y objetos de cielo profundo.
- Presentación en pantalla grande, con astrofotografía, visualizaciones astronómicas y contenido en directo cuando las condiciones lo permiten.
Todos los elementos están sujetos a la disponibilidad astronómica y a las condiciones meteorológicas del día de la visita.
6. Tiempo para disfrutar de la hoguera, hacer preguntas y contemplar el cielo nocturno
Una vez finalizado el programa astronómico, los astrónomos estarán disponibles para responder preguntas adicionales.

Es el momento perfecto para disfrutar de la compañía de otros aficionados al cielo, la hoguera, las bebidas y conversaciones animadas bajo el cielo estrellado de España.
