Córdoba, located on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, was a capital city during both the Roman Empire and the Caliphate of Córdoba. Thanks to this rich past, today we can enjoy an extraordinary artistic heritage and architectural treasures such as the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, the Puente Romano de Córdoba, and the historic Judería de Córdoba, among many others.
On this guided day trip to Córdoba from Seville, you will discover one of the most fascinating cities in Andalusia.
We will depart from Seville and head toward the town of Carmona, a beautiful white village well worth a short stop to admire its charm. Here, we will also take the opportunity to enjoy a coffee break and use comfortable restroom facilities. After this brief stop, we will continue on to Córdoba, arriving after approximately one hour on the road. Along the way, you will take in the classic Andalusian landscape, dotted with olive groves. Once in Córdoba, we will begin a guided walking tour through the historic city center.
We will stroll through the city’s most iconic streets and landmarks, including the Puente Romano de Córdoba, the Judería de Córdoba, the Caballerizas Reales de Córdoba, and the Sinagoga de Córdoba. We will also enjoy a short walk through Córdoba’s famous, colorful patios.
After exploring the historic center, there will be a break to enjoy Córdoba’s traditional cuisine, following your guide’s recommendations. Alternatively, you may choose to enjoy your own meal or picnic if you prefer. You will also have free time to browse local shops and do some shopping.
After lunch, and to round off a wonderful day, we will visit the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors will have ample time to fully appreciate this extraordinary architectural masterpiece, one of the greatest jewels of Andalusia’s historical and cultural heritage.
At the end of our visit to the Mosque-Cathedral, we will return to the meeting point to board our transport back to Seville, arriving after a journey of approximately an hour and a half.
