The tour begins in Sagunto’s old town, the true heart of the city. Here you’ll find the Sagunto Archaeological Museum, a must-see for history lovers. Inside, you can admire unique pieces and figures dating back to the 8th century BC, witnesses to the Iberian, Greek, Carthaginian, and Roman cultures that left their mark on this land.
We’ll continue the tour through the narrow streets of the old town until we reach the majestic Roman Theater of Sagunto, one of the city’s most emblematic monuments. Declared Spain’s first National Monument, this theater impresses with its stage layout, the perfection of its seating, and its incredible acoustics, which still amaze visitors today.
After visiting the theater, we’ll ascend to Sagunto Castle, a fortress that dominates the city from above and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast. Walking along its walls is like traveling back in time and reliving centuries of history.
To culminate this experience, we’ll explore the Via Augusta, one of the most important Roman roads in the Empire, whose ruins are still preserved in the heart of Sagunto.
