In the town of Alcoy, one of the most distinctive festivals in the Valencian Community takes place each April. This day trip from Valencia gives you the opportunity to experience the Moros y Cristianos celebrations, recognised as a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
The event commemorates historical episodes from 1276, connected to conflicts in the region and the figure of Saint George, the city’s patron. Over several days, Alcoy brings these moments to life through parades, performances and traditional acts.
After travelling by coach, you will have free time to explore the town and attend key events such as the Moors and Christians parades. These displays are known for their detailed costumes, music and strong local participation.
The experience allows you to move at your own pace, take in the festive atmosphere and gain insight into one of the region’s most established traditions.
With music echoing through the streets and processions moving steadily through the city, the atmosphere builds into something that feels both vibrant and deeply rooted.
