Discover three of the most interesting destinations on the Costa Blanca with this excursion from Valencia. Throughout the day, we’ll visit Guadalest, a town with a medieval past and stunning views; Altea, known for its old town and artistic character; and the Fuentes del Algar, a natural area with waterfalls and natural pools.
The Costa Blanca stretches for more than 200 km and is home to towns steeped in history for centuries, as well as unique natural spaces. To avoid having to travel independently, this excursion allows you to explore some of these places worry-free.
We’ll depart early from Valencia for Altea, a whitewashed town with cobblestone streets and views of the Mediterranean. We’ll stroll through its old town and see the whitewashed houses adorned with flowers.
The guide will take you to the Iglesia del Consuelo, with its iconic blue domes visible from anywhere in town. After the visit, you’ll have free time to explore its viewpoints, browse its craft shops, or have a drink on one of its terraces.
The route continues to Guadalest, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Spain, nestled among the mountains. We’ll take a short guided tour to learn about its history and key monuments, such as the Castillo de San José, a fortress perched on top of a rock with spectacular views of the reservoir, its turquoise blue tones captivating.
We’ll also visit Casa Orduña, a former noble residence that now houses interesting art and history collections. You’ll have free time for lunch and to explore its unique museums. Highlights include the Microminiatures Museum, the Ethnological Museum, and the unique Salt and Pepper Shakers Museum.
Our last stop takes us to the Fuentes del Algar Nature Reserve, a spectacular spot with waterfalls, natural pools, and trails surrounded by vegetation. Here, you’ll have two free hours to explore its wooden paths, visit the Arboretum or the Estret de Sacos, or simply take a dip in its refreshing waters.
