    “Thank you for the upgrade!”

    Stayed 4-8 December 2019 Half Board We had originally booked a superior bungalow for our stay but, upon arrival, we were given a free upgrade to the Royal Level. The receptionist was very quick & helpful in getting us booked in & advising where everything was. The Royal Level rooms do have their own check in desk/room just off reception which you would use if you had booked one of these rooms. Our room was beach front & a short walk from reception, the pool & the restaurant (& obviously the beach!). All of the above were accessed via gates, opened using your room key. The room itself was amazing! We had a large kitchen area with a kitchenette & table + 4 chairs. Glasses (wine, champagne & tumblers) were provided as well as crockery, cutlery & basic items for cooking. There was also a microwave, kettle, toaster & fridge as well as a Lavazza coffee machine with pods (that were refilled every day). There was a large wardrobe, with plenty of hangers & shelves, with a safe inside (chargeable). Iron & ironing board were also supplied. The toilet, shower & sink area were all separate. Robes & slippers were supplied as well as basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel & body lotion). I needed a shaving kit as we traveled light with hand luggage & just had to ask at Reception to get one. Beach towels were also supplied. The beds (2 singles pushed together) were the most comfortable we have ever slept in - memory foam toppers, a lovely, light duvet & plenty of pillows to choose from. The shutters are very effective so we didn't get woken up with the sun meaning we got the best nights sleep we've ever had in a hotel! There was also a living area with large sofa bed & 2 large flat screen TV's (one in the bedroom area & one in the living area). The list of TV channels indicated a range of channels but, when attempting to find the English channels one rainy night, there didn't appear to be any. Wi-fi is free in the room & public areas & was easy to connect to - no faff & no email address required. The Royal Level room we stayed in was ground floor so we had a terrace area with 2 x 2 seater sofas & coffee table & 2 adjustable loungers. There was also a wall mounted drying rack. The terrace led onto a decking area with a spa bath & view of the beach. The spa bath was covered over to keep it clean & was very easy to use. There was a canopy overhead that could be pulled back if you wanted the sun on you, as well as floor to 'ceiling' roller blinds for privacy. The weather wasn't great whilst we were there so we spent quite a bit of time sat in our robes on the terrace reading & drinking Cava purchased at the onsite HiperDino (when we weren't in the spa bath!). The HiperDino, from what we remember from the last time we visited one, charges the same as other HiperDino's in the area so you aren't paying a premium for the convenience. As we booked half board, we only ate in the main restaurant for breakfast & dinner (I believe lunch is served in a different restaurant along the marina). The food was very good, hot & with a wide variety; we never failed to find something to eat. Breakfast had both cooked items as well as continental plus fresh pancakes, fruit & cereals. There were choices of juice plus milkshakes. The coffee was fresh from beans. Dinner had the usual freshly cooked meat & fish options, burgers, hot dogs & chips every night as well as a theme such as mexican & chinese. My only gripe would be that the restaurant is too small & not well laid out. It was very noisy & very busy with people almost on top of one another. The outdoor terrace was open (too cold this time of year to sit outside of an evening) but the Royal Level restaurant & a section of the main restaurant was closed off. We found that going to dinner after 8pm guaranteed a more pleasant experience. When we did manage to get poolside, there were plenty of sunbeds & umbrellas. The pool wasn't as cold as we thought it would be but we still didn't venture in! The entertainment staff were still about & would stop for a chat & tell you what was going on throughout the day (mojito cocktail class on one day...) but weren't intrusive. We took a walk along the marina to the cocktail bar on our last night but found it to be closed (it closes at 9pm) & passed by the theatre on our way back. The show looked to be flamenco dancers who had been brought in rather than the entertainment team. There is also a sports bar & an a la carte restaurant in the area. We had a fantastic break, made even better by an amazing upgrade & we would not hesitate to stay here again even in a 'basic' bungalow.

    “Nice resort!”

    Nice grounds and pool area, comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent service! Location is perfect near the beach and the boardwalk, central if you want to visit the gorgeous beaches of Fuerteventura north or south. Good value for money. We liked the El Camarote restaurant as we are not buffet fans. It's an easy nice walk to other local restaurants.

    “Winter sun”

    we booked a 5 day break through jet2 and upgraded to the deluxe junior suite. arriving at the hotel we had our own check in desk (skipped the que) and was warmly greeted by laura who was really pleasant and informative. After reading reviews, we had requested block 4 which was close to the private pool and reataurants. however block 5 is nice as its closer to the beach side. our room (4019) was amazing and was enough room for 3 adults. it had a 3 tiered terrace with a private hot tub overlooking onto the sea. by being al inclusive, the royal level has their own private restaurant for breakfast and dinner where the atmosphere and food is amazing. For lunch, you could use the main restaurant however we preferred the sports bar as it overlooked the marina. there was also a ice cream cafe where you could get milkshakes, cakes, coffees. you could use any cafe or restaurant with no additional charge. All staff at this hotel were so polite and couldn't do enough for you which made you feel special. will certainly be booking again and look forward to staying here.

    “Очень грязно”

    Мы отдыхали в этом отеле в конце января три дня. Забронировали через официальный сайт, после крайне положительного опыта в другом отеле сети Barcelo'. Впечатления остались скорее отрицательные, не все было так плохо, но не возвращаться , не советовать этот отель не станем. Сама структура расположена просто идеально, на территории или рядом есть все что нужно: рестораны, бары, парковка, супермаркет. Мы ходили на ужины и завтраки только в ресторан Al Anca', так как там нам очень понравилось, хотя был на выбор и другой ресторан. В Al Anca'за три дня ни разу не повторялись блюда, все было свежее и вкусное, персонал замечательный, интерьер интересный, а живая музыка была просто отличным дополнением ко всему этому. Подогреваемый бассейн, был не очень крупным, но и не совсем маленьким, как казалось по фото, проблем с лежаками не возникало. Сам номер был большим, но не комфортным и желания проводить там много время не было, в том числе потому что было уж очень грязно. Когда мы только заехали, думали, что номер не был полностью готов , там не было тапочек, пол был усеян волосами и пылью, кухня и стол покрыты крошками и жирными пятнами, сантехника в ванной была в подозрительных пятнах, а вход в номер перекрывала тележка горничной с весьма внушительной горой мусора сверху. Через пол часа после звонка на ресепшен тапочки нам принесли, мы обратили внимание девушки из персонала на все безобразие, что происходило в номере и попросили убраться нормально на следующий день, так как было уже поздно. Как стало ясно далее, на улучшение ситуации расчитывать не стоило. В первый день они собрали волосы, крошки и оттерли некоторые пятна, но замусоленные стены, жирная кухня, грязные углы и наигрязнейшая терраса никуда не делись. Впрочем как и тележка горничной, припаркованная у нашей двери. На третий день нам только сменили полотенца и забрали мусор, да и то, после нашего звонка на ресепшен, хотя уходя из номера утром, мы встретили горничную у соседнего номера, сообщили, что уходим, повесили табличку с просьбой убрать номер, но до вечера она до нас так и не добралась. В общем, покупка чистящих средств в супермаркете по соседству позволила перетерпеть эти три дня даже с комфортом, так как нижайший уровень уборки(или его отсутствие) были единственным явным минусом, но большим. Хотя мало кому захочется развлекаться с тряпкой и дезинфицирующими средствами в отпуске, в отеле со словами Royal Level в названии. Для меня это первый такой опыт и, надеюсь, его не придется повторить,но если вы совсем не брезгливы , не планируете активно пользоваться номером и боитесь заскучать без Domestos , то можете смело сюда ехать, так как в остальном место красивое, комфортное с отличным рестораном. А менеджерам, которые рассылают письма в ответ на анкету "что вам понравилось или не понравилось в нашем отеле" , не обвинять в наличии стеснительности, что не позволила обратиться на ресепшен за уборкой и стала причиной ее отсутствия, а занятся этой самой уборкой , чтобы этого не пришлось делать клиентам!

    “В этом отеле брать - только Royal Level”

    Royal Level - это премиум левел отеля Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort. Тоесть, есть вариант Обычный и Премиум. Никому не советую брать Обычный вариант отдыха в этом отеле. Грязно, неуютно, людно. Не смотря на все это, этот отель - один из лучших на этом пляже
