    “Travelling with a 4 year old and an Infant - Travel agent review.”

    Firstly apologies for the delayed review. We stayed at this hotel from the 19th -26th January 2017. We are a family of 4 with a 4 year old and a 8 month old and found a fair few problems with the resort itself. When we first arrived at the hotel it had been a long day, delayed flight and delayed baggage collection so we had been up for the best part of 14 hours with an early start and 2 very tired children, all we wanted was a swift easy check in and to get some food and go to bed. The guy behind reception was to us very unprofessional. He answered the phone on several occasions and carried on a conversation with whoever it was, sounded like a personal call to us. We found this extremely rude considering it was our first impression of the hotel. A quick guide to where things are and that was that. Noone to take bags to the rooms either! a nightmare with all the baggage we had. We were in block 2 on the 2nd floor. The lift was tiny!! Just about fit 1 adult and a buggy with a little child in. My husband then waited for us to go up and then got the lift afterwards. Considering we were told this was the 'family block' its not very family friendly in that respect. We stayed in a family superior room which was fairly dated. We found a fair amount of damage to furniture and were slightly annoyed that we had to pay a deposit and daily charge for a kettle when they supply most other things needed for an infant such as baby bath, changing mat and table etc yet we have to pay for a kettle, yes you get the deposit back, to feed our daughter her milk easily for the week. At first we were going to go down and fill it up at the bar or in the restaurant but the rooms were so far away that we ended up paying! Also be aware you have to leave a deposit for pool towels aswell and a daily charge for those too!! The childrens pool wasn't heated. our little boy went in for a bit but came out freezing and refused to go in it again!! Disappointing as we'd booked the hotel for the family features! The childrens club itself we used once however it was awful! We were advised that a brand new one was being sorted out and would open in a few weeks so that's great but what about the children there when we were. Most of the toys had been taken to the new one and not much for our 4 year old to do. I'm a travel agent and asked to see the new one so it would help me sell it and unfortunately this wasn't possible due to heating going into the pool there but reception advised they would send some pictures over via email. I'm still awaiting this email however! However we couldn't fault the kids entertainment team. They were absolutely brilliant and the kids disco was amazing! Our little boy couldn't wait to go there every night and had such fun! They really got involved with the children and made his holiday! The play park needs some work. We took our little one a couple of times but the see saw had no handles for the kids to hold on, there was a bolt sticking out from where something else had broken etc. Not great for a family hotel. Be warned that the slopes down to reception can get really slippy when wet. We had a couple of days with an hour or so of rain and we nearly slipped a few times and my little boy fell over a number of times. Just be wary. Food was average! There wasn't much choice for children and my little one ended up having burgers or sausages most nights as nothing else he would eat. If you are a fussy eater, I know I am, then you do end up having the same stuff for lunch and dinner mostly! Became very samey towards the end of the week. Food got cold really quickly even though the plates were warm, sometimes even too hot to hold. Desserts were amazing though and breakfast was lovely too. Bar stuff were really rude. It was our first night so didn't really know how it worked and we were standing by the bar a guy looked over and walked round the back and started up a chat with the other bartender! We were then told to just go and make our own and he pointed to behind the bar with a load of spirits lined up! Wherever you choose to stay in Lanzarote, if you have children, go to the Rancho texas park, an absolutely amazing excursion, if you book through the rep at the hotel then you can get the bus from opposite side of the road for 4 euros each, well worth it! The rep at the hotel for Thomson, Graham, was amazing! Such a lovely guy and couldn't do enough for us. Unfortunately our little boy was ill for half the holiday, we think it was something he ate, and he always asked after him and made a fuss. A Credit to Thomson! There isn't much to do around the hotel itself. Tiny beach down the road but a nightmare to find and you have to go down loads of steps to get there. Not ideal with a buggy. They run a bus to costa teguise which was free. Driver was really rude! Overall we definitely wouldn't go back to this hotel. We had a good break away but when we went out! I won't be recommending this hotel to customers I serve in the shops either unless there is a real improvement with staff attitude and the childrens facilities sorted.

    “Nice hotel in need of a refurb - not 4* ”

    Hotel - Classed as a 4* family hotel on their website and other sites. I would say this hotel is more like a 3* hotel. It's very rundown as I noticed a lot of leaks and cracks and paint chipped. The kids play area has items missing and bits of metal sticking out where they used to be. The main reception area is very big and welcoming but could again do with an update to bring it to a 4* hotel. Rooms - We are staying in a superior double room. These are big comfortable rooms with 2 single beds pushed together (not hooked so tend to slip away from each other) the decor is dated and the room has considerable signs of wear. Our bathroom in particular had water leaking through the ceiling from the room above. Once we told the staff about this we were given another room just next door which was very helpful with moving all our belongings. Staff and entertainment- This is definitely where the hotel outdoes it's self the entertainment for adults and children alike is excellent and all the staff are very friendly. My almost 2 year old little girl absolutely loved all the entertainers and they make a fuss of them which is nice to see. Food- We only stayed on a b&b board and the breakfast is good. Fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, cold meats, cooked breakfast items and cereals. Lots of juices and coffee and tea making facilities. You will definitely find something to eat anyway. Access to beach- Although the nearest beach is about a 20 min walk from the hotel, we found this to be a very nice walk and done it everyday of the holiday. The main beach is about 50 min walk. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus that runs from morning to early evening. Overall we have had a nice comfortable stay, but I really think the hotel needs a full refurb. So it falls into the category of a 4* hotel.

    “я не скучала”

    все великолепно! еда, анимация и шоу программа, приветливый персонал! даже в плохую погоду скучать не придется! единственный минус, за неделю ни разу не поменяли халаты, полотенца, уборка номера в неподходящее время. и не мытые полы под кроватью!!!
