General my Barceló Conditions

my Barceló is the Barceló Hotel Group’s international loyalty programme with unrestricted and free access, which aims to reward our private and independent customers who book through Barcelo.com and our Call Centre with special content, communications and highly valuable benefits which will improve their Barceló experience before, during and after their stay.

Accessing the my Barceló Program and completing transactions via the Barcelo.com website or via Barceló Hotel Group telephone booking services implicates the acceptance of the following conditions of use:

- accept the privacy policy of the Barceló Hotel Group website

- in order to restrict access, via the website www.barcelo.com, to the confidential information regarding the my Barceló Programme account, so that it may only be known for or with consent of your account, the advance introduction of your personal data (name, surname, telephone number, date of birth, address of residence), a unique and personal email address, as well as a password, shall be requested.

- if a member forgets their password, they can request that it be sent to the email address with which they have registered that is their username. To do so, you must go to the website www.barcelo.com. try to access the my Barceló area and click the option: “Have you forgotten your email or password?”

- the member will be responsible for safeguarding their password. Barceló Hotel Group will not be held responsible for the consequences of potential illegal use of the customer’s access password by a third party

The my Barceló Programme It is based on the obtaining of exclusive advantages by guests, when registering for the program and making bookings on Barcelo.com and/or its own Call Center, identifying as a my Barceló customer.

Beneficiaries of the my Barceló Program (referred to as “the account owner”) are physical individuals of legal age (identified by their personal data) that registered for the my Barceló Program via www.barcelo.com or the Barceló Call Center.

To benefit from the exclusive my Barceló advantages, you must be the account holder in the Programme that bookings made, before logging in or identifying my Barceló.

Bookings made by people different to the Memberand they will not be accumulated in the my Barceló account of the booking.

The my Barceló client as the person making the booking and guest during the stay is the one person who can benefit from of the exclusive benefits of the program, to whom all communications are going to be sent. With a booking of multiple rooms, the advantages apply only and exclusively to the room with which the Title is, does not apply to other rooms included in the reservation.


Payment of reservations shall be completed with the credit card provided during the booking process. Except in the case of an advance payment, payment of the remaining amount will be completed when the customer stays as a guest in the hotel.

3. THE ACCOUNT 3. THE ACCOUNT

Each client participating in the my Barceló ProgrammeYou can access a private area inside Barcelo.com where the corresponding booking movements made at Barceló.com and the Call Centre will be stored in the last three years:

1. The account will remain active as long as the customer does not unsubscribe from the program.

2. The customer can, at any moment, request and obtain voluntary unsubscription in the personalized area.

3. The reservations transactions generated by a customer cannot be transferred to another customer’s account.

4. Account owners cannot be transferred.

4. TRANSACTIONS 4. TRANSACTIONS

Bookings start to book on the my Barceló account once the customer has registered in the Programme.

They are automatically accumulated to calculate the level and application of my Barceló benefits, making bookings made through Barcelo.com and/or Call Centre, previously login or ID to my Barceló, , after you enjoy the corresponding stay (day after check-out) within a 24 months* and from March 26, 2015 (all bookings prior to this date are not booked for level of level).

Only the first stay will be counted for reservations with consecutive dates in the same hotel in order to calculate the level and apply my Barceló benefits. The second and successive reservations will appear as invalid and will not accumulate in the my Barceló stays counter.

If a booking has been generated without prior login or ID my Barceló benefits will not be applied to the my Barceló benefits during the stay and will not be automatically considered in the account for the level calculation program. Even so, the registered customer can request import this booking as long as you have made the booking through barcelo.com and/or the Call Center with the the email you are registered with in the Programme. The import request for these bookings must be made through Barcelo.com help form. Maximum period of importing an old booking: 12 months after check-out date at the hotel, which at the time of importation must be part of the Barceló Hotel Group portfolio of hotels.

The package bookings for flight plus hotel and those made in channels different to Barcelo.com and the Call Centre (OTA'S, Tour Operators, Travel Agencies or other methods) cannot be imported to your my Barceló account, and therefore do not give access to the my Barceló benefits during your stay, nor accumulate in the Programme account for and level calculation.

Barceló Hotel Group shall regularly send exclusive personalized offers to all my Barceló Programme clients with periodic terms and conditions in force.

6. LEVELS 6. LEVELS

There are currently 3 my Barceló customer levels (since July 2, 2015):

- my Barceló: is the basic level which applies to a client once they register with my Barceló and for the first and second booking made at www.barcelo.com and/or our Call Centre. After the 2nd completed stay within a period of 24 months, the my Barceló customer is upgraded one level to my Barceló Intense. A minimum accumulated spend of €$600 is necessary to go up to the next level.
- my Barceló Intense: is the intermediate level which applies to a my Barceló client’s second stay within a 24-month period (with a minimum expenditure of €$600) and for your third or fourth booking made at www.barcelo.com and/or our Call Centre. After the 4th completed stay within a period of 24 months, the my Barceló Intense customer is upgraded one level to my Barceló Unique. A minimum accumulated spend of €$2,000 is required to apply the Intense level to the Unique level.
- my Barceló Unique: is the top level which applies to a my Barceló client after a 4th stay within a 24-month period (with a minimum expenditure of €$2,000) and from your fifth booking made at www.barcelo.com and/or our Call Centre.

Your my Barceló level is based on stays you have enjoyed which were booked through Barcelo.com or the Call Centre, accumulated over a period of 24 months* from 26 March 2015 (all bookings made before this date are not used when calculating the level).

The minimum spend applies as an additional and required criteria applied towards the level increase from this same date.

New: as a result of the abnormal situation caused by Coronavirus (Covid-19), the effective of the Intense and Unique levels will be extended until 31/12/2021.

The benefits relating to the my Barceló membership level are applied automatically during step 2 of the booking process on Barcelo.com, as long as you make the booking by logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló package of benefits will be applied per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. The benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account owner is staying.

Application of benefits
:

In order to enjoy the my Barceló discount on bookings at Barcelo.com (discount on accumulating stays) and the my Barceló benefits during your stay, you must log in to the my Barceló area in step 1 (select the room) in step 1 (select the room) or to identify yourself as a my Barceló customer if the booking made is through the Call Center. If you book through Barcelo, the titleholder’s my Barceló level benefits will be automatically applied to step 2 of the Barcelo.com booking process, as long as you make the booking before logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló package of benefits will be applied per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. The benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account owner is staying.


As a result of the circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barceló Hotel Group has adapted its operations to comply with recommendations issued by the health authorities and thus some my Barceló loyalty programme benefits may be affected during your stay. If we are unable to offer any of the services, we will do everything we can to offer you an alternative benefit, subject to availability at the hotel.


Benefits for essential groups

20% extra discount on bookings made before 31/03/2021 and Unique benefits for stays until 30/12/2021 for the essential group defined in the BOE (subject to hotel accreditation).


Specifications for some my Barceló benefits (restrictions)

- Best price guaranteed: to apply the guarantee, the difference should be with an identical hotel booking, i.e. same hotel, same room type, same board basis, same dates, same number of guests, same currency, same price restrictions, for the entire stay, as well as the same rates, taxes, handling costs and other costs derived from the service that the other website includes in the booking. This difference must be communicated within 24 hours of making a booking at www.barcelo.com, in the area help from Barcelo.com

- Special requests: When booking on Barcelo.com Always subject to availability. Minimum request 48 hours. Currency exchange, requests for medication or medical assistance, transfers, culinary products not available, upgrades and other paid services offered by the hotel that are not listed in the special requests available are not considered as special requests.

- Pre check-in on-line: does not substitute the client identification process (handing over of ID document and collection of room key), which the hotel must carry out.

- Preferential Check-in and check-out: my Barceló reception desk depending on the respective hotel’s availability, and any client must still provide ID for identification purposes.

- Printing services for personal documents: limited to documents for personal use (boarding card, map, passport or ID document) and with a maximum of 5 copies per person and stay.

- Early check-in: subject to availability, does not include a free extension on your accommodation type, and in Latin America/Caribbean requires a minimum notice of 48 hours to the hotel.

- Early check-in: subject to availability, does not include a free extension on your accommodation type.

Special conditions for hotel experiences: Does not apply to Barceló Experiences: https://www.barcelo.com/guia-turismo/es/. Only applicable to hotels with paid experiences available for customers. Discounts do not apply to activities previously booked with the reservation. For Barceló Vacations activities, the maximum discount limit is 10%. Discounts cannot be cumulated with other offers and promotions outside the program. Cannot be used in conjunction with resort credit in LATAM.

- Special terms and conditions for meeting rooms: only for clients staying at the hotel who have booked a meeting room. Does not apply to vacation hotels and resorts in Latin America and the Caribbean.

1. Business coffee break: no more than one complimentary coffee break per stay for a maximum of 5 people, comprising coffee, tea and pastries at the discretion of the hotel.

2. Complimentary audiovisual equipment: basic equipment available at the hotel.

3. Meeting space rental discounts: only applicable to rooms with a maximum capacity of 10–12 people. Does not guarantee the availability of meeting spaces with the desired characteristics.

4. Service for printing professional documents: limited to 150 black and white copies maximum and only guaranteed at no charge with a 24-hour advance notice.

- Welcome Minibar: limited to hotels with minibar in the rooms. Does not include spirits (drinks) nor restocking. New: Due to the new protocols implemented in operation as a result of the COVID-19, it is necessary for the customer to express request of this benefit at reception.

8. HOTELS 8. HOTELS

my Barceló, the Barceló Hotel Group international loyalty program, is applied in all Barceló Hotel Group hotels in Europe, Latin America/Caribbean and Africa, except at Novo Resort The Residence Luxury Apartments by Barceló (Cádiz, Spain) and Cuba (Caribe). My Barceló benefits do not apply to bookings made at these hotels or these bookings accumulate in the my Barceló account of the Titleholder for the calculation of Programme level calculation.


Although the my Barceló benefits are global, certain adjustments and/or customization may apply, such as exceptions to how they are applied, based on the situation of each hotel.

9. MODIFICATIONS 9. MODIFICATIONS

1. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to partially or fully modify these General Conditions. The customer can discover their updated benefits at all times this page.

2. The Barceló Hotel Group may end the participation of a member at my Barceló Programme with immediate effect, when a member does not comply with these General Terms and Conditions or fraudulent use of the account is detected. Fraudulent use of the bookings under the account of a my Barceló Member to other non-members' accounts is considered to be free of charge, so that they benefit from the conditions of the Programme, without staying in the same name as the Owner.

3. The user can change their personal data or unsubscribe from the Programme in the private area of my Barceló at Barcelo.com. You can also unsubscribe from communications by using the link provided for this purpose on newsletters sent from Barceló Hotel Group.

4. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to modify or cancel fully or partially and without prior notice these Special Terms and Conditions, or any other aspect relating to the program or the participation of its Members.
