When more than half of an area is made up of protected nature reserves, it might just be paradise. In the south west of Tenerife, the Costa Adeje has earned its name not only for its 300 days of sunshine a year, but also for the exuberant nature that surrounds the coast and the oasis of tranquillity in the area of La Caleta, where one of the few fishing villages that has kept its traditions and all the essence of the island intact is preserved.
