    “Barcelo Huatulco”

    Not really seen any differentiated product about what they call Premium, staff is quite friendly but definitely opportunity areas to work on to improve.Given the fact there are many options most of the time the Customoer experience is what can differentiate and make the change.

    “don't bother !!!”

    If you are not going to spend the money on the premium package you're in for a big disappointment, the draft beer is warm and this was a common complaint,(i did notice they keep the draft kegs handy at the bar but not refridgerated while they are sitting there) the cans are cold but hey did you upgrade to premium well if not no cold beer for you. there is a money grab for the wifi per device in this day and age this is ridiculous oh wait did you get premium they you can have wifi, do you want to eat at an ala carte at 9:30pm well that is the time slot because guess what the premiums will get first choice at all the good time slots, do you see a pattern here.... this is a resort/hotel chain that will give you a different level of service that depends directly on the money you're willing to spend , and before anyone thinks this is a complaint that they have no idea about well they do have a public relations manager that did listen to all my concerns and submitted a report apparently but does not change the overall facts of everything that is wrong management just blames the owner !!

    “A diamond in the rough ”

    The staff here are fabulous. I made a few suggestions about the entertainment at the pool after listening to guests comments and they jumped right on it. The food is top notch. They have a few challenges but they really want the guests happy and work to accommodate. You should definitely get the Premium rooms. Advantages are worth it.

    “Inviting & Lovely Lobby”

    The lobby is one of the most inviting I've seen with its multi-levels & group seating areas. The place to meet our group of 4 couples & enjoy the music & a drink before dinner. The driveway has a circular swordfish fountain. Inside you are greeted by fresh lilies & the lobby's view is open-air through to pool, islands, & ocean.The rooms : each has balcony w/ view; ours, an end room with foliage & AM bird songs. Room: clean, comfortable with the expected daily replenished water bottles, safe, & maid service-put the reminder on the bed if you want fresh linens. The food was good with variety in the buffets & we easily got into the specialty restaurants 3 nights -beautifully presented & Susanna provided wonderful service at both the Mexican & Italian specialty restaurants.. Much appreciated - hand sanitizer in restaurants! The beach is slanted & walkable, waves fun to play in, & at the far end fish come in with the waves & people enjoyed snorkeling there. Some vender on the beach, but that is how we found the boat trip with Jose' Lopez Lopez several beach tour & Jose's wife made guacamole. We also played mini golf, archery ( get new equipment!) for some mid-day fun & the evening entertainment. On a down note: 3 in our group booked massages for our last day & Gabriella, spa manager was 50 min. late! The Public Relations Director, Ivan Cruz, worked to make this right & should be commended for his effort. Our friends were unwilling to give up precious beach time mid-day to re book!

    “Not Bad”

    The room was very well furnished and equipped. WiFi slow. Drinks weak and made with cruddy liquor brands, staff always trying to upsell to a premium bracelet. Staff are obviously penalized for not speaking English, even though some of them spoke less English than I spoke Spanish, which was annoying. Poolside waiters would disappear for hours and when they did take a drink order they only brought it half the time. By-reservation restaurants were very good. Buffet was good, food bland but that's to be expected in a resort catering to Midwesterners and Canadians. Compressor oe generator on roof ran all night, disturbing my sleep even though earplugs.
