Delve into impressive dunes in the Viana Desert with sandboarding, the historic shipwreck of Cabo Santa María and a tour of the picturesque villages of João Galego, Fundo das Figueiras, Cabeça dos Tarrafes and Bufareira.
Start of the day: Departure from the hotel
The adventure begins on the way to the Viana Desert, a natural jewel formed by white sand dunes brought by the winds of the Sahara. There, the visitor will have the unique opportunity to snowboard on sand, gliding down the gentle slopes while enjoying the silence and immensity of the desert. A fun and totally safe experience, perfect for unforgettable photos.
Next stop:Shipwreck of Cabo Santa María
After the thrill in the dunes, the trip continues to the north coast to visit the emblematic Cabo Santa María, where the remains of the famous shipwreck in 1968 rest. This is one of the most photographed places in Boa Vista: the contrast between the rusty structure and the white sand creates a striking image that tells its own story.
Tour of the towns of the north:
From here, the route delves into the most authentic and cultural part of the island. The first stop is João Galego, a picturesque town known for its colorful houses, its tranquility and the friendliness of its inhabitants. Then, continue to Fundo das Figueiras, an agricultural town surrounded by greenery, where you can learn more about local life and visit its small white colonial-style church.
Then, you arrive at Cabeça dos Tarrafes, one of the most traditional towns in the north, where time seems to stand still. Here you can appreciate the purest Cape Verdean way of life, chat with the locals and enjoy a relaxing break.
Stop in Bufareira and return:
Before returning to the hotel, we make a final stop in Bufareira, a small settlement that offers panoramic views of the north of the island and where some traditional stone structures are still preserved. Ideal for a last photograph of the day and to reflect on the cultural and natural wealth of Boa Vista.
Sign up for a balanced route between nature, adrenaline, history and culture, perfect for those who want to discover the essence of the north of Boa Vista.
