Description
Discover the art of Arabic calligraphy in Marrakech through a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to use the qalam, the traditional reed pen used to create balanced and precise lettering.
During the session, a specialised master will guide you step by step as you practise the fundamental strokes and understand how a simple mark can evolve into a harmonious composition. You will be introduced to basic principles such as proportion, rhythm and style, gaining insight into why calligraphy holds a central place in Arab artistic tradition.
The experience includes the personalised writing of your name in Arabic calligraphy, as well as the opportunity to choose meaningful words or expressions — such as happiness, love, wisdom or “live your life” — to take home as a unique keepsake. The workshop is adapted to the level of each participant, making it suitable whether it is your first encounter with calligraphy or you already have an interest in the craft.
