Experience Description
Brief Summary
Sunset hike through Cabo de Gata combined with astronomical observation from the beach, in an experience that unites land and sky.
Full Description
As evening falls, when the sky takes on warm tones, we begin an interpretive tour along ancient volcanic trails in Cabo de Gata. Accompanied by the last rays of the sun, an expert guide will reveal the geological secrets, the area’s flora and fauna, and the stories that have shaped this coast.
The highlight comes when we reach Los Genoveses Beach, where one of the clearest skies in Europe awaits us for astronomical observation. Without telescopes, but with visual aids and a blanket on the sand, we will learn to orient ourselves using the sky, identify constellations according to the season, and discover how ancient civilizations interpreted the universe.
During the activity, we will cover basic astronomy concepts and techniques such as star hopping to locate the North Star and understand the movement of the sky. In a relaxed atmosphere, we will combine science, mythology, and history, guided by an expert on the subject.
Ideal for those who wish to connect with nature and the cosmos, this experience is perfect for families, the curious, and anyone who wants to look at the stars from a new perspective.
