Description
Spend a full day in Granada travelling from Marbella and Estepona to visit one of Spain’s most remarkable historical landmarks. The visit begins with a walk through Granada’s historic centre, passing emblematic sites such as the Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, burial place of the Catholic Monarchs. The city’s streets reflect centuries of cultural heritage through Renaissance architecture, lively squares and traditional local shops.
You will then have free time to enjoy lunch, stroll around at your own pace or simply take in the atmosphere that makes Granada such a distinctive destination. Views towards the Sierra Nevada mountains accompany much of the city centre, adding to its unmistakable character.
In the afternoon, you will enter the extraordinary Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Together with a local guide, you will visit the celebrated Nasrid Palaces, the Palace of Charles V and the historic gardens once used by the Nasrid rulers as a royal retreat.
The sound of flowing water, the intricate Andalusian architecture and the panoramic views over Granada create an atmosphere filled with history, texture and calm that lingers long after the visit comes to an end.
