Whale and Dolphin Watching
The southwest coast of Tenerife is the perfect place to see whales and dolphins in the wild, since many of them live all year round in the waters off the island.
With their close proximity to the coast, Tenerife has become the place in Europe with the most whale and dolphin sightings in the wild. Twenty-one different species live in these waters, from the giant blue whale to the feared killer whale. Short-finned pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins, two residents of these waters, can be observed here nearly 10 months out of the year and represent nearly 100% of the sightings. Don't let this opportunity pass you by! Very few places on the planet offer you such a wide range of creatures of the sea so close to the hotel. Half a million visitors come every year to see these whales and dolphins, proof that you will have plenty of opportunities to see these creatures in the wild.
Masca Trekking
The Barranco de Masca offers a bright, magnificent landscape where exclusive, native flora of incredible beauty flourishes. You'll also have time to taste typical Canary Island culinary specialties such as fresh goat's cheese, cactus juice, local wines recommended by our guides, jams and homemade sauces. The descent lasts between 3 and 4 hours. When you get to the beach, enjoy a well-earned swim and relax in the sunshine while you wait for the boat to take you back to Los Gigantes.
Scuba diving
Tenerife is a true paradise where you can enjoy a vacation "under the sea" thanks to its incredible marine life, a pleasant climate all year round with temperatures that range between 66 and 77 degrees and a sea that's almost always calm. Shipwrecks, caves and lava tubes are more reasons to enjoy this sport in Tenerife. The island also boasts a full network of centers for experienced hikers and beginners.
Hiking
The trails on Tenerife offer a wide variety of landscapes, climates, environments and levels of difficulty. These trails offer visitors the chance to get to know the island better, discover the depth of its beauty and learn about the way of life of its first inhabitants, the Guanches. They were the ones who created the first routes through the thick laurel forests towards the grazing areas near Mount Teide.
Fishing
Test your sport fishing skills on the rocky Tenerife coastline. You can chose from a wide variety of fish that are difficult to catch, such as bream, catfish, grouper, and others. Plus, you will be able to enjoy deep sea fishing, bottom fishing, coastal fishing and electric-reel fishing.

We must not forget to mention the dolphin, killer whale and sea lion shows. Everyone in the family will be amazed with their intelligence and skills. Transportation from the southern part of the island available for an extra fee.
