    “My lovely trip to Barcelo' Bavaro Palace”

    Every thing was excellent. I truly recommended. Very nice place, and the employees are the best. I will like to go there again next year to stay for more longer and I hope they continue with the same manners.

    “Best Resort in DR”

    Our first time in the Dominican Republic was amazing! We loved everything about our hotel from the variety of restaurants, how large the pool was, the beautiful beach and abundance of beach chairs, the attentiveness and friendliness of the bartenders, and the great service housekeeping provided in making our beds daily and providing us with fresh towels. We stayed near the golf course and were nervous as many reviews said how far it was from the pool and buffets, but we didn't mind it at all. You could take the trolley from the bus stop located out of our hotel or simply take the 5 minute walk across the parking lot to the hotel entrance. Thankfully we only had one poor experience: We are from the US, however I speak Spanish. When we arrived at the hotel and were trying to find the buffet, I attempted to kindly ask one of the employees working at the jewelry kiosk near the French restaurant in Spanish where the buffet was. However when I walked up to her and before I even got a word out she said "I don't speak English", assuming that I didn't speak Spanish. She then proceeded to turn around to another employee from another kiosk who she was socializing with to continue their conversation. When I tried to ask her once more she turned around, rolled her eyes, and wouldn't let me speak, interrupting me again saying that she doesn't speak English. She didn't even let me speak a few words as she assumed I only spoke English. My friends and I were able to find the buffet on our own but we were shocked and turned off by how rude one of our first interactions with an employee was. After a poor experience with one of the first employees we interacted with, we were turned off and worried that other staff would be rude too. However, the rest of our trip was great. Many other guests raved about our resort, stating that it was one of the best to stay at in DR and their comments couldn't have been any more true. The resort was huge and beautiful and had a lot to offer.

    “My son got sick with a severe case of Coxsackievirus!”

    3 weeks since my family of 5 and I got back from this vacation, my son still has health issues after having been exposed to Coxsackievirus. How can I call this a family friendly resort if for 2 weeks after we got back from the vacation I had to sit at home with my sick child. I don't recommend going here if you have a child. The pools are very unsanitary as that was the cause of how my son got sick. The virus gives painful blisters on the hands, mouth and feet making it hard to walk and eat. He was crying and suffering from pain. I would like the administration to PAY ATTENTION to the quality of cleaning of the pools,kids water park, and kids club.

    “Nice pool and great beach but rooms flood”

    We were there for a wedding and the brides room kept flooding . It took them 2 days to finally switch ger roo. In my roo. The water frin the shower kept getting g on the floor and I had to use towels to dry. The WiFi is horrible and it's not free. They should have a snack bar by the beach and pool being g that they xont allow you take food out of the dining room. I would not go back there.

    “Horrible customer service and poor quality food & drinks!!!”

    Where do I start? First, we got to the hotel lobby and it took us two hours to get checked in. The service was slow and inefficient. Then, we finally go to our room and put our bathing suits on and our coverups and decide that to go and grab a bite before hitting the pool. When we get to the buffet restaurant they wouldn’t let us in because we were wearing our bathing suits even though we had a cover-up they said we had to be fully dressed and the gentlemen cannot wear sandals only closed shoes. Why would anybody be fully clothed and the beach ands why would men wear closed shoes while in the beach? It was ridiculous! We had to walk 15 minutes down back to our room to change and then come back. The customer service in every restaurant was very poor. The only place where we got good service was at the cigar bar by the bartenders only, because the rest like the servers there were also very bad. We made reservations for the exclusive restaurants thinking the food would be better than the buffet but we were clearly mistaken. We had dinner at hole 19 the first night and dinner was terrible. The chicken was extremely dry the potatoes and the mashed potatoes were not eatable they were hard as a rock. I ordered drinks and they had to remake them 4 different times it was something so simple as a vodka with water and lime juice and they could not get it right. It was also my birthday, so my friend ordered a cake and we could not even put the fork through the cake as the cake was hard as a rock as well. It appeared that they have premade the plates and then just heat them up. The quality of the food was terrible. The drinks were terrible and if you want to drink the known brand of liquor you will have to pay extra as they were considered premium. Everybody that we encounter as a staff member was rude and unprofessional. It is sad to see a hotel that is so beautiful but that lacks such a great deal of customer service and quality in their food and drinks. Such a waste of a nice hotel. I will not come back ever again.
