    “Hotel Barceló Reforma”

    The Hotel Barceló Reforma is very nice. It is located on the Reforma and walking distance from the Zocalo. The rooms were nice and big and very clean. They provide bottles of water for free. The food in the restaurants was very good! A very good value.

    “Enjoyed our short stay room with nice view”

    With family in the 11th floor, nice view to the city. Showers are big enough for 4 adults. Food delicious at Sonora Grill and enjoyed breakfast buffet at el Caballito. Used concierge services for all exploration paid about $200 us for personal driver tour guide for 6 not to include entrance fees to tourists location. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Staff overall friendly some not so friendly. Many business people stay at this hotel some with families but very quite. Weather was at 75-80 degrees by 2pm.

    “Bad experience”

    The hotel seems to be up to date mostly, except for some furniture in the rooms. The elevators took forever and there was a couple not working I had wake up calls I did not ask for at 6 am and left the phone off the hook on purpose after the second call. Then at 8am the bellboy walked into my room and then said it was a mistake. Then 15 minutes later the cleaning lady walked in as well. After that, I went to work. Came back at 2pm and room was undone. Asked for a king in my reservation and was given a 2 bed because there was no king rooms available. Visited 2 restaurants in the hotel and was very pleased. Daikoku great sushi place and Sonora Grill great for meats. Both had great service and the ambiance for the meat place gets relly cool after 9pm.

    “My Stay at Barcelo”

    Excellent location! Very proximate to just about anything you need to do in Mexico City. Taxi or public transportation is very accessible. Night life around the area is very lively and vibrant. Hotel staff are very friendly and goes beyond the ordinary to make guest feel at home.

    “JUST POOR MANAGEMENT”

    I revisited this hotel for four nights, May 2-May 6 as part of a Gate 1 tour. Two nights were purchased seperate from the tour. I had stayed at this hotel last year and gave a poor review. There were negative issues that could have been avoided due to stronger management. This included not receiving arranged wake up calls. Unfortunately, I found out on this visit that not much has changed. For example, my air conditioner did not work and I had to wait for maintenance to change out the air filter. The next morning, my hairdryer was broken and had to wait again, for manintenance to bring a new one. These are things that should be addressed before renting out the room. The Barcelo Mexican Reforma is really a nice hotel and a guest should not have to deal with such things from a "name" hotel. I really feel that poor management/supervision is the cause. Unless this is addressed, there will continue to be negative issues. In closing, many of my tour members had similiar issues or worst with their room. So this is not an isolated complaint.

    “Hotel Barceló Reforma”
