    “A perfect relaxed holiday”

Our second stay and just as perfect as the first time. Room in block 2 as we requested. Staff even looked up our room number from last year and gave us the same room. Weather perfect. We love this resort as not over commercialised. We will certainly be back again.

“A shining example of hotel mismanagement.!”

Fantastic location and a great opportunity to create a go to destination for families which has been completely ruined by Barcelo policy in my opinion. If you want your kids to have fun by the pool then avoid this hotel like the plague. All inflatables, all rubber rings, all balls and any group games in the pool are banned. Even in the 12 inch deep toddler pool! 80% of the pool areas are circa 1.4m deep and my son, and most other kids who can swim but aren’t capable of swimming for hours at a time, are not tall enough to stand in water that deep. They require an inflatable to stay in the water for longer than 10-20mins at a time. It was explained by our Jet2 rep (who to be honest seemed like she couldn’t be arsed) that it was a hotel policy that was enforced at peak times when the pool was really busy. Whilst that is understandable to a degree, discretion should be applied as yesterday there was no more than 10 people in a huge pool at any one time and tellingly practically no children under the age of 10 in the water. They were all sat by the poolside along with their rubber rigs looking bored rigid. The hotel has a total of six pools and not one is allowed inflatables. Surely at peak times when the hotel is full booked they could use the money that they are no doubt raking in to pay for an extra lifeguard for a designated kids pool where fun is allowed. In fact, they should be staffed accordingly regardless of when you are there. I have NEVER stayed at a hotel with such an oppressive pool policy. Last night, the minute the lifeguard finished his shift all the kids dived in with their inflatables and had a ball. All you could hear was their laughter: a stark contrast to the complete silence of the preceding 8 hours. Also, I watched 3 sets of kids at different times being chastised for playing catch ball in the pool yet adults doing the exact same weren’t approached. Utterly shameful treatment for what is packaged as a family resort. The bungalow we stayed at, whilst well laid out and well located, was very sparse and dated by comparison to other 4 star apart-hotels we have frequented in the Canary Islands. We were on a half board basis and our room had a sink, fridge, hob, mircowave etc. Yet we didn’t have a sponge, washing up liquid, dishcloth, dust pan and brush or iron so god knows how your meant to clean cutlery, cups, glasses and plates The rep ex-pained these were only provided

    “Family holiday”

This is the second time we have stayed here and we cant fault a thing, we have loved it both times. We came with our 1 year old for his first holiday as we enjoyed it so much last time and its perfect for families. The hotel is really nice and up to date, always very clean. Hotel is in a really good location close to the beach/harbour/shops/entertainment ect, theres so much to do. Staff made us feel welcome and service was really good. Would deffo come again.

    “Not bad ”

We have just come back from a 10 night stay & were self catering. We arrived at 11.30am but were told there wasn’t a room available until 3pm so spent a while just hanging around. Our apartment was ok, quite dated & tired looking but was clean. It had a few cooking basics but we had to buy a frying pan as the one supplied was the smallest in the world, also had to buy some cups, again, the ones supplied were like tiny coffee cups. The aircon was broken & they did send someone quite quickly to fix it although they needn’t have bothered as it was very feeble & we found opening the windows & letting a breeze through more effective. This was ok in the day but in the evenings it was very loud due to entertainment across the road so we ended up using the feeble aircon at night until it starting making a loud whining sound intermittently, this was reported but no one ever came to look at it so we just managed with earplugs & a breeze overnight ,it was that poor it wasn’t worth the bother of fixing again. The hairdryer supplied was probably made by the same company as the aircon, absolutely useless & the plug in the bathroom slowly started to become loose away from the wall & wasn’t able to be used for the last couple of days, me being a woman with long hair this was not ideal. I wouldn’t rate the apartment very highly considering what we paid for it & was disappointed. The hotel looked nice but we didn’t use the facilities, the location was good but noisy at night. Loved the resort of Caleta De Fuste and will come back but not to this hotel, felt the apartment was way over priced for the quality of accommodation & could get a much better standard elsewhere.
