    “Such Bad Service, We Wanted To Leave”

    We were very excited for this trip. I called the hotel 2 days before we arrived to let them know that my wife is heavily pregnant and to ask for extra pillows in the room. On arrival to check in the lady that checked us in was nice enough, she must have just got back from a cigarette break because the smell coming from her was very strong. Anyway, she gave is the room number and explained about the hotel, as we went to our room, I notice that the front door didn’t open properly, went into the room and the door to our right was our bedroom which had 2 single beds in it and no extra pillows, my partner thought she would have to sleep on a single bed and panicked a little but I reassured her that they would make sure she doesn’t sleep on a single bed. My wife then went to have a quick shower as we had just been on a plane and she wanted to freshen up, guess what? They had no towels, I’m now getting frustrated and called reception to explain about the situation ( the door, bed and towels) he assured me that someone was coming immediately to make the bed into a double and bring some towels so we can have a shower. 25 minutes later we still not heard from them so I walked to reception to speak with Martha who is the manager on duty. I’ve asked one of the front desk clerk to please call the manager, I would like to speak with her and she said no problem, I can literally see her walk in the room and tell the manager that someone wants to speak with her about an issue and she did not bother to move, the clerk came back to me 5 minutes later and said that she wouldn’t be long. I sat for 20 mins waiting for Martha before getting up and walking back to the room. 30 minutes later Martha calls the room and asked if I wanted to speak with her, I gently said yes please, I was waiting 20 minutes for you at reception to speak with you and she said to me that she was having lunch. I guess guest issues can wait. We waited an hour and half before someone came to make the bed and guess what? Still no towels, it’s actually laughable now. My pregnant partner is tired, grumpy and upset with everything which I have to take the brunt off. I would not recommend this hotel at all. STAY CLEAR. We will be changing hotels tomorrow.

    “Unbelievable experience what we expected and what we found there TOP CLASSSS”

    We got at the hotel with not many high hopes but just enough. We were upgraded for free fro one room to two rooms accommodation. Close to the restaurant being with kids(8 and 2) as requested prior. Apartment was clean 2 huge balconies. Activities for kids were nice and also our small one was crazy about the kids disco during the night. And on top being my birthday during the stay we received a champagne and a cake from the hotel management .... that was a nice surprise !!! The heated pool was nice we enjoyed a few days swimming with the kids. 10 mins from the airport perfect. We clearly going back !!!

    “‘January break for some sun’”

    We stayed for a week and have had a lovely time. The bungalows are a little dated but this didn’t bother us. A few minor problems with lights bulbs were sorted promptly by staff. All staff very accommodating and friendly. Beds very comfortable. We enjoy walking so the distance to the restaurant/ reception didn’t bother us but I guess u could ask for a room closer if u have concerns with mobility. We stayed half board and loved the food good selection for all tastes.. some food does go cold quickly but if u ensure u pick up a hot plate then shouldn’t be an issue. It’s a lovely quiet place for rest and relaxation and if you want livelier pubs clubs etc they are all within reach of the hotel. Good supermarket on site and lots of shops locally. We felt it was great value for money and would defiantly consider coming back.

    “Great Chistmas holiday”

    We stayed at the Barcelo Castillo over Christmas for 11 days. We have been to caleta de fuste before in a different hotel.We loved the resort so went again we had an upper floor bungalow it was lovey and in a great location room number 2177 we even decorated the lounge for Christmas. We were near to eveything. I did email direct to ask for a sunny room and upper floor which they gave us. The food was ok? it was the amount of people in the dining room that let it down. But I am not complaining. The Christmas day gala meal was fantastic. The food and drink was outstanding. Although we were on half board the drinks at the gala meal was all free. I would like to say a big thank you and well done, also what made that night was the 2 settings for dinner it made it much more enjoyable. The weather over Chistmas was very nice we were able to enjoy the beach every day. We will be back soon. I would like to say thank you to all the staff who were very friendly. we will be back. Thank you.
