    Enjoyed 10 lovely relaxing days, the staff are fantastic always happy to help and go that little extra. The rooms are fabulous very spacious and stylish with all the mod cons. Food was very good, at times could of been little hotter but overall great selection. Our only disappointment was we paid for all inclusive to be told this stops at 12pm on your last day, we never experienced this before we had 7hrs in resort with having to purchase our own food/drinks we did not arrive till late evening on our first day therefore only had 9 days of the all inclusive facilities. Overall lovely holiday, excellent location just a few little niggles of disappointment.

    “A great hotel”

    We had a great stay in the Barcelo, the check in was fast and efficient, our room was lovely but on the small side. The queen size bed was so amazingly comfortable, clean towels everyday and our bedding changed three times over a 9 night stay. Staff really are very helpful and friendly. The pool areas are very nice and clean, towels provided and you can get them changed when ever you need to. I would recommend taking your own hairdryer as there system means the hair dryer switches of after 30 seconds and stays of fir about 2 min. One negative is that the only bin is in the toilet and not enough areas to put your toiletries. Food very nice although we only went B and B. The cocktails in the B Lounge were super but the ones by the pool were not very nice at all. If you are all inclusive be aware that some premium drinks are not included you have to pay a supplement for them. The Barceló hotels are just wonderful, we will definitely be returning this hotel.

    “Not the greatest”

    Two week holiday. On arrival was welcomed and given a small drink. Checked in and on to the room.. no porter service due to the time of our arrival 9.30pm. Wow the room is small, in fact it is tiny. No separate bathroom although the WC does have a privacy door. Shower screen looks on to the bed. Sink shares the only surface in the room with the coffee machine with under counter small fridge stocked with hotel priced drinks. No where to sit in the room other than on the bed. There is what the hotel term as a sofa, this is best described as a bedding box without the storage. Bed side cabinet with one draw. Wardrobe only accommodates shirt length, so my wife har nowhere to hang her dresses. No iron, but then again, no surface to iron on anyway. Flat screen TV, with the main 4 UK channels amongst others. Terrace had a jacuzzi type bath small table and two low loungers. On the first morning I went to reception and asked for a chair with a back, so I could sit and read rather than lounging. I was told by the receptionist that they could not provide a chair, she was only willing to swap both loungers for chairs. Looking at other balconies, I noticed some rooms with both chairs and loungers (with cushions). I pointed this out to the receptionist, she was not for changing stating we had only booked the deluxe suite. House keeping was average. Air conditioning was pitiful, it never cooled the room in the daytime. Food in the Atlantic Restaurant was nothing to write home about. Most food was warm. They can’t seem to get their head around cooking fresh fried eggs with a runny yolk. The hotel had a policy of not reserving sun beds, however this was never enforced, and every day we went to the sun terrace to find all the best spots reserved. The pools are only dip pools. We eventually go a chair with a back. The cushion for the lounger never turned up, we were given one by another guest. Barring the receptionist all the staff were friendly. In the sports bar I asked to a large glass of stella, this was served in the usual stella glass but on 3 quarters full, the top quarter was the head.. Just needed a flake putting in it! The beer was warm. No return visit to this bar. On our last day our pickup was at 1815hrs, we asked if we could have a late check out. This was declined but informed we could use the hotel facilities and even pay 4 euro’s each to have a shower. Sadly the hotel does no live up to the brochure, and the sourness from reception spoiled the stay from day one.

    “Fabulous hotel”

    Hotel is excellent. Very stylish and rooms very comfortable. We had a gorgeous junior suite with hot tub on balcony, overlooking pool with sea behind. The main pool area was very classy and we never had a problem getting beds. We treated ourselves to the balinese bed experience with bubbly, chocs and fruit which was lovely. All staff were hard working and friendly, particularly in Champs on an evening. Live music in there every night, some better than others. But Guitar Legends and The Millsy brothers were both worth mentioning. Large choice of food available in the buffet restaurant breakfast and dinner. Wide choice of drinks available on AI which was great. Only thing we didnt enjoy was the pesky wind. We knew it was a windy resort, but wasn't prepared for it being a chilly wind. Couldn't enjoy an evening walk along the prom, or sit people watching outside a bar as it was too cold. Such a shame, wish I could move the hotel and resort somewhere else. Highly recommended if you don't mind the breeze.

    “AMAZING”

    From the moment we checked in the service was top notch.. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were greeted with drinks checked in quickly and shown to our very clean and modern room.. The hot tub and view was amazing and the bed was super comfy... Gym was well equipped.. breakfast has everything you want and more and the room service menu was generous... The sports bar was well decorated and drinks were a decent price... I cannot fault this hotel at all defo worth a stay!
