    “Amazing!”

    100% recommend this hotel. On arrival Dessy gave us a glass of cava and checked our room was ready, she gave us a map of the complex and answered all the questions we had. A bell boy showed us to our room and took our cases, he showed us how the air conditioning worked.The room was amazing, a massive bed, bigger than I’ve ever seen, a pillow menu so you could choose a suitable pillow, a massive tele on the wall and a hot tub on the balcony, which you fill when you want to use it with fresh water. Pool towels were supplied as well as bath towels. We had no coat hangers in our room but I called down to reception and asked for 10, they were soon delivered. People mentioned having no full length mirror, I found it in our last day on the back of the toilet door, maybe worth getting the bell boy to mention this to people when they arrive. Both pools were great, a lovely temperature and not deep so was nice to just relax in although you could swim comfortably if you wanted to.I did have to get down to the pool around 7:45 to get a sun bed that would have the sun all day, there are loads of beds, but only a few that have the sun all day as there are loads of palm trees creating a lot of shade. The waiter service found the pool was a lovely touch, a great variety of drinks, cocktails were made with premium spirits and there were loads to choice from on the all inclusive menu. The variety of food was great, something for everyone, so much choice at the buffet style breakfast, we had lunch in Champs it was lovely to be able to eat off of the menu and get waiter service for all three courses, we ate in Champs one evening too as good was served until 9pm. The other nights we ate at the buffet and there was loads of choice we liked to sit outside and there isn’t many seats so we had to wait and jump in an a available sit as it became free, it was hard to know when the sits became free as it was a buffet so people were away from their sits but just getting food, maybe there could be something out on the table when it was in use so it is clear which tables are taken? All the staff were so lovely, the waiter helped us get a table outside, I don’t remember his name. Dessy was amazing answering all our questions and making us feel welcome and Berry the entertainment guy was great, invited you to join in but wasn’t pushy. When I booked the hotel, I did it directly, I told them it was our wedding Anniversary on the 6th and cava was delivered to our room!!

    “Modern hotel but with a few issues”

    The Barcelo Teguise gives very good first impression. The staff are welcoming and the design is very modern and colourful, not lifeless as many modern hotels often are. Good marks there. The rooms are adequate. Complimentary bottles of water are provided on arrival and there is a range of teas and a good coffee machine. The coffee machine was restocked daily but there was no water provided even for all inclusive guests, let alone a ree fridge of locals beers, fizzy drinks and water which is quite usual these days. As a result, despite being all inclusive, we still felt compelled to purchase additional water from the local supremarket for night/morning which was disappointing. With a larger room we had two large televisions, a sofa and a reason able amount of space. There was a hot tub outside which was fine for one but would be more than a little tight for two. However, the bathroom had no proper doors so lacked any real privacy. The was also plenty of cupboard space but almost no draw space. The air con was also very loud but I guess that's the price one pays for a cool room. The food was pretty good all round. The buffet was to a fairly high standard for a small hotel, and pleasing not to see great vats of chips but a genuine selection. The food in Champs sports bar was also quite good - typical sports bar food. Finally the bar near the pool served a range of tasty and healthy lunches. So between the different venues one could have a nice greasy pizza or fried chicken, some freshly freshly made pesto pasta or a good quality salad depending on you mood. One thing that was without fault was the staff. Everybody was polite and helpful at all times, and particular mention should be given to Valeria (I think that is her name, very long dark hair in a plat down her back). She must work ridiculously long hours and seemingly in every bar at different times of the day, but was absolutely fantastic in every way. She really does deserve special mention because without her excellent service I would be tempted to award just 3 starts for the hotel, but she deserves a star in her own right. I know many bar and restaurants in London who would hire her in a heartbeat. It would not be unfair to say that she was the star of our visit and I have never mentioned any member of staff at any hotel or restaurant I've reviewed before but she deserves special mention. Finally the pools. Both are nice, if small. There are plenty of sunbeds, though the design does mean that only a fairly small proportion of them actually have sun through the entire day. Finally the pool bar service is quite slow (not the staff's fault, there just aren't enough of them). Overall I would consider coming back, but I'd really hope that the hotel considers providing daily water (or more) to all inclusive guests as making guests feel like they need to go to the shop is quite disappointing. PS if you are not all inclusive, the prices are very high and you will probably go to the local supermarket a lot (€0.60 for a medium coke instead of €2.90 for a small). A large beer was €3.90 which isn't too bad I guess.

    “Nice hotel but with a lot of niggles”

    First of all, as mentioned before, this has a good location and an excellent buffet, both breakfast and dinner. However - Rooms are badly designed. Not enough electricity sockets - a nice coffee machine is provided, but nowhere to plug it in! Hardly any drawer space. Really, REALLY bad air conditioning. Only situated in the lounge area, with directable nozzles meant to direct cold air into the bed area, only it didn't. Our room 1014 had the worst shower I have ever seen, the plastic shower tray was larger than the space to fit it, so it buckled up and poured water under the door. We had to mop up with all the towels after each shower...... Also room 1014 - black hole of Calcutta would be more like it. Ground floor, never saw the sun, needed lights on 24/7. The pool area should be lovely, but there are so many sunbeds crammed round it, that even if you saw a couple of free beds, you couldn't actually get to them. Sardines in a tin springs to mind. A final point - this hotel is on the wrong side of the bay for evening sun. It was in the shade much earlier than the other side of the bay where the Salinas is situated.

    “Great hotel”

    “Very Relaxing”

    Lovely hotel, nice swimming pools, with comfy sunbeds including some canopied ones, relaxing spa they call the water circuit with a swim through room that has beds in the water with water jets either side and cascades to stand under as you enter or leave, aromatherapy shower, a fun ice cold bucket of water to use after the sauna or aroma therapy steam room and a multi jet shower the goes hot then cold, fun but still relaxing + they offer various beauty treatments & therapies. With great food in all the restaurants and very friendly helpful staff.
