    “i can recommend it”

take a room with sea view, it is fantastic. Very good rooms and nice bathroom. Clean. Nice bars and a very good restaurant. There are a few shops near the hotel, but you can walk to Morro Jable along the sea og along the shops.

    “Mixed bunch ”

We are currently staying here and it’s a mix of reviews. Weather is changeable but when it’s cold the hotel is very cold especially the bedrooms so extra blankets were ordered and needed! The food is lovely and can’t see why reviews say it’s not hot enough? Good mix of salads fish meat etc. Yes there is a bit of scrum to get into the restaurant at busy times and luckily for us we had the plus dining room which is better than the basic. Hotel itself needs an upgrade with health & safety having a busy time here. Staff pleasant enough. Kids club probably the best point with great staff. At night it was too cold and not much going on. Granted it’s not the hotels fault the weather is a bit dull but sadly not much else to do. The zoo is ok but 4 hours is plenty there. Would not go back to this hotel but would come back to a better one as location is great! Beach beautiful.

“No longer four star, here is why”

My wife and I are retired and for the last ten years have visited on average four or five four and five star hotels each winter. We returned from a week here on Valentin's day having spoken with the highest we could reach of the hotel's management during our stay to explain why they should no longer be rated four star. At first we were told the hotel is fifteen years old and is bound to have some faults !! Our room was very tired with old louvre doors badly stained and one cupboard door not closing due to a broken hinge, badly cracked lampshade, holed net curtain, long flex dangling below the TV and chain and bath plug detached from each other and the bath. Then there was the walk from room to restaurant at night with many path lights not working and part with no lighting at all past the sun beds by the pool which were left where they lay. Some were lucky and had torches with them. The worst part though was the sole restaurant, a glorified noisy cafeteria which was hopelessly understaffed. The staff could not clear tables fast enough for new arrivals to find a table, particularly at breakfast when you could not tell when people had finished and you might sit down and wait for someone to clear away and re-lay the table. After our complaint on this three managers arrived each morning to help find tables. Result? A queue of forty plus disgruntled customers. They did not see the problem with the lack of staff and they could be seen pleading with the waiting staff !! Then there were the shortages....of glasses, soup bowls, biscuits for the cheese etc ,oh and chefs at the live cooking stations who cooked a mass of chops or chicken or fish and then scooped them all into dishes that were meant to keep the food warm but did not by and large, and they looked dry and unappetising most of the time. However the salads were excellent and occasional hot dishes like the duck one night, the soups were hot and good too. But no menu was ever posted, the electronic board as you entered the cafeteria never worked the whole week so we missed the Sushi as this was put where the cheese normally sat and so we did not find it until too late. The bars were very short on seating except where the so called evening entertainment was held and no coffee was served in there. The Lobby bar was shortest on seating but you still queued fro a drink as again understaffed and customers learned to clear their own tables. Where everyone went after the evening meal we do not know.As mentioned earlier the sun beds were not rearranged each day until our penultimate day. The most comfy seating was at the lower level snack bar but unfortunately no view from there. Everywhere we looked seemed to have a small problem, nothing major but a lack of attention to detail eg live flowers on Lobby Bar tables...or should have been if they were kept topped up with water so they sat there wilted. I could go on but you get the message. Absolutely fine as long as you are not expecting four star.

    “Stay 6th 13th Feb”

First time in this hotel. Although staff and service was first rate there were one or two issues which we were not happy with. Entry into dining room was difficult because of the numbers trying to get in at the same time and we weren’t always guided to a table. The buffet food was good but in a lot of instances was cold. Entertainment was good but some nights relied on too much audience participation! More music and dancing would be preferable.
