    “Feb Half Term Break”

After a little windfall we booked ourselves a small break, we arrived just after 12.00 and had a small time to wait before our room was available so put our cases in the luggage storeroom. A quick visit to the pool bar for a snack and a drink. The all inclusive drinks were either served by the staff or self service which speeded things up and made life easier. A quick bit of exploring and we found block 7 where we were staying. We collected our keycard and settled into our family room. Two singe beds made into a double, bunks and a sofa bed. A nice balcony with a sight sea view and a bit of wifi reception. The pools although cold were good fun and kept the kids entertained. The fun pool with the slide did heat up a little but the sea water pool stayed cold, but once you were in we're quite bare able. The entertainment team performed the club dance around the pool 3 times a day and various games and activities. The wifi was good in the reception and the adjacent bar but could have been better spread across the site and especially the pool area. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The main restaurant for breakfast was varied and made to order pancakes and omelettes with all sorts of hot food and continental breakfasts and freshly made juices and smoothies. We only visited the restaurant for lunch once but it was much quieter than breakfast and various choices for hot and cold food. The evening meal was busier but the staff would sit you down as soon as they could two choices of fish and meats cooked to order on the grill with varied choice of dishes and potatoes and veg to go with it. Wide choice of sweets and cheese and biscuit table to finish your meal. The hotel is well situated just outside the main resort of Costa Teguise it's a nice walk about 3km from the main resort and beach along the sea front. A shorter walk takes you several small bars and restaurants. Situated at the front of the complex are a couple of souvenir shops and a mini market, With an a la carte restaurant and small bar. Overall we really enjoyed our little holiday and have said one day we will definitely be back.

    “Winter break away, just okay”

Booked the hotel for a week away in October, hotel lobby and rooms very clean, Hotel was okay but I have stayed in better places. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious, very modern looking and everything that is needed was there. Rooms have got a TV however very few British channels. For what you want it for though, the rooms were great. The hotel had various activities going on during the day and seemed good for children and teenagers, the pool area was very busy and crowded but okay. Hotel offered wifi at a charge, I didn't bother but speaking to some who did it was apparently very poor and not worth paying. The evening entertainment was pretty good, sometimes a little childish but mostly fine. Found the bar staff to be quite rude at times, some were great but the majority were not giving a good impression of the hotel. If you wanted to venture into Costa Teguise, it is a taxi ride or around a 30-45 minute walk. Found the staff to be disappointing, we found a little girl wandering around the lobby who had lost her mother, when we took her down to the pool to tell a member of staff, she sat her down and carried on doing an activity with people in the pool and showed no interest in the girl, we found the mother ourselves in the end. The biggest problem with the hotel by far was the food hall and the food itself. The room itself was a buffet style restaurant but was too small for the number of people in the hotel which resulted in chaos when getting your food. The actual food itself was just okay, quite often a little cold and not that tasty. We did go to the speciality restaurant on one evening (one trip per booking i think) and that was the best food we had in the hotel. We were a party of 6 and 3 of the 7 nights ended up going into Costa Teguise for food as we weren't keen on the food on offer in the restaurant. The hotel was clean and the rooms were great. However the poor food situation by far outweighed this. I wouldn't go back to the hotel unfortunately.

    “Weeks break February”

My husband and myself went for a weeks break in February. It is more of a family hotel than we would choose but food was good and had an adults area which was nice and quiet but if you are all inclusive you still have to purchase drinks in this section. There is entertainment on every evening but we chose the lounge most nights. We had dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel (included for all inclusive) and it was really nice, food was beautiful. There was a sports team at the hotel training for some event as there is an olympic size swimming pool and lots of cycling around this area. What I didn't like was that on checking in we had to take our luggage up two long ramps then find our block to find that we only had a lift up two flights and had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. They didn't ask if we could manage our luggage at our age. Another thing we didn't like but I think this is an age thing was that no-one seemed to dress smartly for dinner, some even seemed to have the same clothes on all day. The free bus is very handy(and hourly) to Teguise. I think if we went again I would like to stay in the centre of Teguise as it is nice to walk along the promenade and bar areas.

    “Shame it was not good”

When we arrived our room was not ready, we were told we could lock the suitcases away in the luggage room and come back in 2 hours time. When walking round we noted that the luggage room was not secure and they leave it wide open for everyone to go in. This was not a one off time, it happened consistently. Food is boring, mundane, repetitive, unhealthy and unappetising. We are glad we were only staying one week as we really couldn't have stomached another week of the food. They have introduced salads at the lunchtime bar, but they get snapped up by 11am and you are left with all the unhealthy norms of chips, burgers, hot dogs. All inclusive is very segregated to the normal bars, you have to help yourself at the back of the normal bar - no service unless you need tea or coffee. (Coffee is just froth in a cup). Animation team for the children are great - really go the extra mile to get them involved. Most restaurant staff are hard working and polite. More than I can say for the clientele that were staying there. Evening entertainment was ok, but could do with sprucing up. Swimming pool does need to be heated at this time of year as it adds to the holiday. Reception staff ok. No real feel for the hotel and it feels in need of renovation. Communication between staff is not at its best. Room dirty, drinks stayed in room for 3 days along with the 3 dead moths that had taken residence with us. Room cleaning was not attentive and did not resupply the room readily without being prompted by several visits to the reception. Reception did deal with any issues the best they could. Free bus service runs down to Cucharas which is a great break from the hotel to go and sit on the beach. Hate writing bad reports, but I think honesty is the best policy. Such a shame as we thought it would have been better.
