    “Well recommended”

    Well pleased with the hotel - the staff were great, very helpful and the food was good. The location didn’t have many shops around unless you were prepared for and capable of walking a distance up and down hills.

    “Winter break”

    This hotel is at the top of a hill and all roundabout is very hilly and not very good if you can’t get about easily. We enjoyed the challenge of the hills. Rooms a bit tired would say this is a 3 star at the moment but to be fair they are working on hotel so would liked to see it when finished. Our only complaint was the flies everywhere but was the same in all resorts we visited nearby.

    “Allergro ( yes please on completion of the pool )”

    Food was below average , problem with flies , décor could do with painting . The main pool has been out of action since the summer and still nowhere near finished ( could have built a new hotel the time they have been on with it ) . The workers must be on a great hourly wage as they start at 9.30 and finish at 1.30 !!!! On the plus side , the animation team , waiters and cleaners were very good .

However we would like to take this opportunity to clarify certain aspects of your review as a simple matter of exactness of the information reported. At Barceló we lay high value on our personnel being guest oriented and welcoming at all times, and for this reason, I would like to inform you that according to the Spanish law all the employees of a company work eight hours maximum, some of them have the party shift with four hours in the morning and four for the evening, and that's why maybe you have the impression of seeing an employee all day. Moreover we have taken good note of your remarks related to the presence of flies within our grounds; given the climatology of Tenerife and its geographical position, depending on the humidity and heat, the presence of insects in any hotel, business or private house is unavoidable, nevertheless we have in place a specific preventive pest control plan as well as regular treatments to avoid their presence in the hotel.  In relation to the incidents regarding our works, I take this opportunity to inform you that the work began at the beginning of November, and to complete a pool of these sizes it takes its time. We apologize for the inconvenience. On the other hand, we thank you for your very kind words about our entertainment team as they work tirelessly every day to entertain our guests during their stay among us, we will make sure to relay your praising comments to them and we are sure they will be happy to know their efforts have been appreciated.     “A very nice hotel”

    Excellent food, good wine (specielly the red) and good beer. All inclusive-drinks not drinkable. Make your own mix or pay for other drinks. Nice rooms and perfect cleaning. Clean but cold water in the pool = 19 degrees (the pool by the F-house). Many very good sunbeds.

    “Disappoited and prizy”

    Allmost rude staff and not service minded - and that is just sad. Lots of food on the buffé, but lots is not the same as good or well cooked. And the dining room was so load that it was no place to enjoy a nice dinner.
