    “Barcelo Varadera, Playa de la Arena, Tenerife”

    The hotel is well situated in the resort and has spacious rooms. It was kept very clean and the staff are attentive and helpful. It has 3 pools only one of which is heated and at this time of year ( Feb 2017 ) this effectively means only one was pleasant to swim in. I understand the pools are to be redeveloped soon. The food was good and whilst we were there they were trying a new A La Carte menu. This A La Carte experience could be improved with a wider menu and more staff but overall was a good experience. As a couple what we missed most was a bar to relax in. The hotel was strong on providing entertainment for families but there was no where for a quiet drink.

    “A winter break”

    Overall we found the hotel very good but looking tired in place and in need of some refurbishment. Its position was great for access to Los Gigantes and the bus stops by the Hotel . We had a hire car and there was lots of free parking nearby.

    “10 day stay as bed & breakfast only”

    The apartment was clean but a bit space. Cleaned daily. Most other guests seemed to be all inclusive,and we did hear comments that it was a bit of a 'scrum' which we did find at breakfast too. The staff seemed rushed off their feet,and worked very hard,but were all very pleasant. We would not probably return to this Barcelo Resort as it does need a bit of updating as looking a bit tired,but suits some people as other reviews have said.

    “All inclusive why”

    Currently sat in the bar wondering why I've paid for all inclusive, just watched a couple one with white band other no band talk to the barman and then help themselves to very large coffees. So why do I need an all inclusive red band? I would appreciate it if you could tell me. Also is this the only barcelo hotel offering self service All Inclusive ??

It is only through feedback such as yours that we are able to maintain and improve upon the service that we provide to our guests. We regret your disappointment regarding the extra charge for some drinks for our All Inclusive guests, although we would like to take the opportunity to point out that only a few Premium liquors are not included and subject to a reduced extra charge comparing to the prices charged for other types of meal plans in the hotel. Also I would like to inform you that, the white bracelet corresponds to a bed and breakfast, then these customers are required to pay any drinks and can not take advantage of the all inclusive drinks. Thank you again for making us your choice hotel on this occasion, we look forward to serving you again in the near future. King Regards

    “10 Day Holiday”

    Overall it was a great experience. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The dining room became very busy at times with the self service arrangement but the food was good and the service was friendly and efficient. The idea of introduction of an al a carte restaurant needs to be developed further as it would prove very popular. Some small suggestions for improvement: introduce heating to all pools, improve the quality of lighting in the restaurant, have a separate quiet bar for non all inclusive customers. Again, thanks to all your hard working staff for making this a very enjoyable holiday.
