    “Birthday Getaway”

    Sold by the amazing photos but the Hotel and rooms bit tired but the views of the sea and mountains are amazing!!!! All inclusive drinks only run until 11 pm and only wine, beer, water, soft drinks available in the main restaurant with lunch and dinner Lunchtime - all inclusive only available in the main restaurant between 1 pm - 3 pm , can't use the pool snack bar unless you want to pay during these hours Hotel needs to improve a grade not what I would call 4 star

    “Great location, fantastic staff”

    The Barcelo Santiago is a lovely hotel in a fantastic position. The staff are excellent, food is very good, plentiful and varied. My only gripe is that the rooms are tired and in need of a refurbished.

    “A Gem in Tenerife”

    A very clean, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing hotel. Food varied, good quality and plentiful and dietary concerns (gluten free) catered for brilliantly. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

    “Fantastic stay”

    We had a lovely weekend break at this hotel. On checking in we received a glass of bubbly each and were quickly checked in to our room - paying an additional fee for the safe in the room. The receptionist explained everything with a useful booklet. We booked a deluxe suite with a hot tub which was simply amazing (room 706). It had a beautiful view of the ocean and the town. The room was newly refurbished and was lovely with a huge balcony space and sun loungers. Being vegetarian, food is a major concern for me. However, everyday there was lots of variety to choose from and i did not struggle finding food. The food was all fresh and tasted great. The pool area is beautiful and we rented out a bahimi bed for 15 euros a person which was definitely worth it. On the last day we booked the spa experience - we got it free due to the room we booked. This was amazing, it was a mixture of immersion in hot and cold water and areas. Very relaxing and a great way to finish the holiday. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone!

    “Excellent Position”

    Have just come back from a weeks stay, so lucky with the weather 24 - 35 whilst we were there but not so good the week before or after. The hotel is in a beautiful position with great views, spotlessly clean & very friendly staff. We had room 809 which had wonderful views, was quite large & had a large balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had tea & coffee making facilities but unfortunately the tea & coffee wasn't filled up very often so we had to get extra tea bags from the restaurant, there was a fridge in the room so we bought milk & put it in there. The wardrobe & drawer space was very poor, not enough room for a weeks stay & I don't take too much. Unfortunately the food I found was disappointing - Breakfast - I saw some smoothies one morning, they were delicious but only there 3 days out of 7, Omelettes the same, the selection on cakes & pastries were great but why not have some of them at lunch or dinnner? - Lunch & Dinner for me was also very disappointing I didn't enjoy any of it. On the plus side the wine was excellent! There were plenty of sun beds in lots of different areas to chose from most with spectacular views. There was plenty of places to walk, Los Gigantes about 20 mins away & La Arena about the same. We got a bus to Adeje & walked to Los Cristianos & caught the bus back, ask your rep about buying a bus card. Just a mention to our rep Jess she was great, very friendly & helpful.
