    “Brilliant family holiday 😊😊”

My husband, teenage daughter and myself spent a very relaxing week here in February. It was our fourth visit to this hotel, we love it! The rooms are light and airy with amazing views, the pool area is uncrowded and relaxing, the food is varied and beautifully presented and the staff are very attentive and friendly.

    “Cliff-top ocean view paradise”

An Easter sunshine break at this place worked really well for us. Uncertain at first, as our room was 5 floors down and a long walk from the lift, but I actually enjoyed it in the end. Down at ground level near the sea was quiet and secluded, despite passers by walking along the promenade. The 5 flights of stairs was quickest back to the pool and restaurants and kept me fit all week! Speaking of which the pool and restaurant are both fabulous. Lots of loungers, no hassle, umbrella shade, poolside bar and speechless views to take in all day made it easy to relax. The service and food quality in the restaurant is brilliant. Very spacious, lovely tables (and views) inside and outside, huge choice of food, clean, quality and fresh, I couldn’t fault it. Bar in the evening was fun with friends, kids are safe and can go off themselves, footie on the telly too! There is an excellent small gym and spa too, which I used several times. We walked into Los Gigantes several times, and also visited the bar over the road for live music. For a quick break with guaranteed sun, and space to kick back and relax, it was great. The surrounding area isn’t great, but this hotel is good. Some renovation going on, which I believe is going to make it even better, but this didn’t really bother us in any way. We had a good time here, and for a similar break might well go back in the future.

    “Fantastic views”

Lovely friendly hotel in a quieter part of the island. Lovely walks to take in the area. Once the refurbishment is completed it will be fabulous as the rooms are a little tired. The views are stunning and we have had a lovely relaxing holiday will definitely be returning

“Well run with very helpful and attentive staff”

This hotel is well run and on its way up as they are renovating and updating. None of the work going on spoils your stay. Sometimes you could hear some noise but it all blended in with the crashing waves that are constant over the rocks below. The pool area is excellent. Plenty of sun beds all in good condition and comfy. Beautiful setting. Plenty of fixed and mobile umbrellas. 3 pools plus a paddling pool and hot tub. They do all the usual entertainment but it s not intrusive. Towels all seem new and they are the long ones that cover the whole length of the bed. They are free but you pay a deposit of €12 for each one and if you want to change them you can pay €2 at the spa. I recommend you get the giant pegs. I got mine last year and find them brilliant especially in Canaries where there is usually a breeze. The pool bar is open from 10am for coffee and drinks to take back to your sun bed or to have there. We went all inclusive but not everyone is so the staff will notice your wrist band. It is very clear on the bar menu what is included and what would incur an extra charge. We found everything we wanted available. It’s just some premium brands that are not. You can feel like millionaires sitting with a cold glass of Cava looking out over the ocean to La Gomera or up to Mount Teide. The food in the restaurant is very good and varied. The staff are very attentive. As soon as you find a table they are there to ask what you want to drink and when you have finished with a dish they politely clear it away. For breakfast there is always freshly squeezed oranges. The bacon is really good for those wanting a full English and the variety of bread and pastries available is amazing including those ones you dip in chocolate that I can’t remember the name of. What with the cold meats and cereals, yoghurts and fruit there is something for everyone. Coffee is from a machine using the cup on your table. Lunch and dinner is also good and there is a touch screen at the entrance that you can see what is on offer. If you are clever you can vary it up as they have dishes in a theme around the displays. One evening it can be Chinese and other times Mexican or you can have the same each day as there is always pasta, pizza, salad, chips and a chef cooking meat and fish. The cheese display is popular and again the puddings and pastries are plentiful. If you can resist the temptation there is plenty of healthy options like salad vegetables and fruit. The reception bar is a lovely place to sit after dinner. There is an outside terrace also and if it is very windy this place is sheltered by the building. You overlook the entrance and the street. Evening entertainment takes place in the theatre next to this area at 9.45 pm after the children’s disco. There are a couple of tables that are placed so you can sit outside and see the show. We saw some good professional acrobatic shows. For people who want a change of scene the hotel is well placed near other bars. Across the road is Route 66 that have full rock bands 4 nights a week and a couple who sing and play popular songs with a backing tape on the other nights. Sports fans have Beechers Brook There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking or cab ride distance. If you don’t mind hills and steps then you can easily get to the marina or along the coast path to Playa de La Arena where there is a black sand beach. There is even a natural rock pool between the hotel and Los Gigantes but at times the waves make it impossible to use. We used the office across the road to book a trip to Mount Teide and a boat trip to see the whales and dolphins. Cheaper than holiday company and with the boat trip you can book on the day once you see what the weather and ocean is like. Reception staff are very helpful. We were given a room on the second floor but it turned out to be on level with the coastal path and I didn’t feel able to open my curtains or sit on the balcony so they changed it to the floor above. We also had a problem with the shower in the new room and this was fixed immediately. The showers are actually great. They have a fixed large head and a mobile one below with good power. The room was good. Beds really comfy. Lots of pillows. Chairs with foot rests in the balcony, plenty of hangers a couple of drawers. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and a fridge. The information in the room says you can hire a kettle. The safe worked out as €3 a day.
