    “Went for a wedding stayed 3 days ”

    I was skeptical at first for visiting this resort because I had read the reviews prior to traveling there. The only reason why I chose this resort was because this was where a family member of mine was having their wedding. if it wasn’t for this wedding I would not have chosen to visit this resort. The bathroom was very sketchy. It just felt dirty the first thing I noticed was the bathroom toilet was broken. I personally physically had to fix it myself. I didn’t even bother to call anybody to come fix it because why even bother they will probably show up the next day to fix it. That same day I had spoken with the people I traveled with and they had the same problem. There were broken bathroom fixtures. The shower was uncomfortable to take a shower in all the water would spill all over the floor it was way too small for even one person. Everything just looked old and outdated like the light fixtures look like they were from the 70’s. I was in room 2309 the view was amazing. Although the decks were way too close to others so there was really no privacy on that end. You can literally look into other peoples bedrooms from your deck. The breakfast was not good it was the same thing every day so don’t expect much I only went to the buffet for breakfast I suggest you make reservations to eat your dinner at the à la cart restaurants or else you’re going to get stuck by eating cold buffet food. The food at the à la cart restaurants were very good I tried the Italian restaurant and the Dominican restaurant. I highly recommend for you to take the time and reserve for eating dinner any of these restaurants. I did not go to any of the shows. They do have a wonderful saxophone player every night which is very nice and entertaining. Be careful though one night I went to bed early around 9 and the main lobby bar got real loud I could hear it all night till 12am so if you will get bothered by the noice then you might want a bedroom farther away. The grounds are very beautiful everything was very clean and well kept I do give it to them for keeping the pool area clean and nice. Check in and check out wasn’t that bad. It was fast. The beach was great as always very clean. If your a family on a budget it’s not bad. But you get what you pay for. I have stayed at the Hard Rock all inclusive resort in Punta Cana 4 times. I would never come back to Occidental Caribe just simply because I like more newer modern look. With updated amenities. The wedding was beautiful. They did a great job.

    “Great beach!”

    The beach is great and the palm trees are awesome. The food at the restaurants is better seasoned than the food at the buffet. The staff is friendly and always smiling. The bars are easily accessible and never too crowded. Great trip!

    “Paradise at Punta Cana!”

    Staying at this resort was like paradise, the views are incredible from every angle your eyes look. The amenities are all so close to each other that walking is a breeze. Restaurants are great and so many varieties for anyone. The price was incredible for the all inclusive experice! I would recommend this to anyone going to Punta Cana for the first time. I will definitely go back to this paradise!

    “Lovely but watch your towels”

    It was a very lovely resort, I thought very well kept up. Two problems we encountered number one was our room was not ready when we got there, and in their defense we did get there a little early but at 3 o’clock time slot they told us it still is not ready. The other problem is the pool cards/towels. They issue you a towel card and tell you if you do not return it you will owe them $20 for each card that is missing. We put them on our chairs we took a walk to the beach came back to swim and they were gone someone had stolen them. We immediately went to the reception area they pretty much just said, too bad so sad. So when we left we had to pay $40 for towels that we only got to use for the first two days of our seven day trip The other problem is the pool cards/towels. They issue you a towel card and tell you if you do not return it you will owe them $20 for each card that is missing. We put them on our chairs we took a walk to the beach came back to swim and they were gone someone had stolen them. We immediately went to the reception area they pretty much just said, too bad so sad. So when we left we had to pay $40 for towels that we only got to use for the first two days of our seven day trip. Found them two things we were very pleased, the rooms were comfortable, they had very nice elevators which a lot of resorts in the Dominican do not. The pools were clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the beach was well groomed every day and a beautiful, beautiful view. I enjoyed the lounge chairs at the pool more than the ones on the beach as the ones at the pool or easier for an older person to get in and out of. If you get a chance to do the restaurants on the property make sure you do the Mexican one and the Japanese one. We actually ate twice at the Japanese one because it was so good. Overall for the price I would return, but if I went again I would hug that towel card or towel right to me the whole time I was there. By the way don’t believe them when they say there is free Internet in the casino, it is a scam. I ended up purchasing the week for $49.

    “A very family friendly place to stay with a great beach”

    A very family friendly place to stay with a great beach and pools. I went with an extended family that had a range from small children to a mother that was over 90 years old. We all had a good time. There was a good variety of food. The bread was baked daily and very good.
