    “Terrible layout / very clean / rock hard beds”

    In brief. Staff- Excellent Location- OK Food+Drink- Very Good Room- Ok Only book into Block 3. We stayed in both block 1 and 2. no view and woken up everyday at 7am by bin men. Adults only Pool has toddlers pool next to it so dont expect a relaxing chilled time there as it looks in the photos.That was dissapointing as there was a large family pool at the lower level. The photo i have uploaded was from our 1st room. Excellent staff, food food and drink, hurrendous beds

    “Great break away”

    Me, my husband & 2 year old stayed at this hotel end of April/start of may for 7 nights all inclusive. We had a great time. Hotel was modern & very clean, our room was cleaned with fresh bedding & towels everyday. The pools were great especially with a toddler, although they were freezing cold so me & my husband struggled to get in them but time of year so I guess they probably warm up through the summer. Facilities for littles ones were good with the children club,although from previous pictures of the outdoor play area I had seen they had more things out for toddlers but when we went they weren't out so that was a little disappointing. Food was of good standard, always lots of different choice & plenty of it, every day had something different so we were very happy with that. Drinks were good with local wine, beer & spirits were large measures, was abit disappointed that there weren't cocktails included apart from cocktail of the day, other all inclusives we have been to, had a selection of cocktails, however they had sangria on tap which I love! We loved the fact that you could walk onto the beach straight off hotel, lovely sandy beach with clear blue seas, I think this made our holiday as my little boy loved being on there. We also had an amazing sea view from our room, stayed in block 3. Staff & Animation team were all really lovely & helpful, all made an effort with my little boy who loved them all. Thank you Occidental hotel for a great week away & we hope to be back soon!

    “Fabulous hotel with superb staff”

    Booked this hotel with Jet 2 for a last minute all inclusive holiday with my cousin. It was unbelievable value for money, excellent service, fabulous location for a relaxing week and amazing selection of food served in the restaurant. The staff deserve special praise they were so hard working but still found time to chat with the guests. The Spa was definitely worth a visit and the evening entertainment much better than I have experienced on similar all inclusive packages. We will most definitely be returning again !

    “Amazing birthday trip!”

    An amazing week all inclusive everything we expected and more! Love staff, amazing food, entertainment was fun and involved all ages! Variety of food every meal time and waiters was fantastic. Tidy room, kept our suitcase for he day whilst we waited for our bus and even let us use a room with a shower before we left! Definitely going back soon.

    “Poorly cooked food, rude staff, poor choice for all inclusive, however really nice animation team!”

    I don’t normally complain for things like this but it’s just odd things I think the hotel needs to address. We visited Occidental Cala Vinyes for 3 nights as a little get away. We opted to go all inclusive as this wasn’t a bad price for 3 nights. We was greeted by reception and to be told we needed to pay for the hotel as we “didn’t have the voucher” I tried to explain we booked this as a package holiday and everything was paid for and showed the hotel reservation documents etc, I wasn’t listened too AT ALL and kept getting interrupted when I was trying to explain, the manager had to correct the staff that they were wrong on this occasion but it’s was highly frustrating for us and not nice to be greeted with such rudeness. Normally all inclusive means ALL inclusive, there was only 1 cocktail a day as part of the all inclusive and these were things I think the staff just come up with, one day it was orange juice and cava all most like bucks fizz? all others you had to pay for. Staff at the bar seemed to be quite rude at times and abrupt. Food, well most of the meat was undercooked, sausages were mushy and raw, my partner had to abandon the pork as majority of it was raw, I’m aware you can now eat if slightly pink, but this was definitely raw. I don’t feel as though this would be a good choice for children as the hotel lies on a cliff face with no railings just a small sign..... following all of this, we wouldn’t visit Occidental Cala Vinyes again, but hope things like this can be resolved for future guests of the hotel. P.S the animation team we’re lovely and really made our evenings!
