    “Fab hotel great location 🤗”

    Myself and hubby and friend and hubby visited this hotel for a long weekend at the end of Sept. After reading all the negative reviews before we came made me feel a bit aprahensive. But I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is lovely , our room was massive not the greatest view but we spent most of our time on the beautiful beach attached to the hotel. The food in the restaurant was ok ,i managed to find something different to eat every day/night, pizza, chinese, pasta, lamb chops, beef or chicken. The bar staff at the beach bar where so accommodating and nothing was too much bother the same as the staff at the snack bar. The entertainment was a bit of a hit and miss but we made our own. The hotel is situated in its own coven and theres nothing else really round about, a taxi costs 6 euro to Magaluf, where we booked onto the no limits boat , that was fab and well worth the money. Theres 2 pools in this hotel and a spa. Theres a kids play park and kids club , we will definitely be returning next time with our kids. Lovely and clean , i wouldnt bother listening to the negative comments as sometimes you cant please everyone. I would definitely recommend. We’ll be back 🤗

    Nice place where to stay. Goods place dor big families or families with children. Good food, different not always but still. Interesting animation. Our second time for staying here, probably would come one more time!

    “Compare and contrast ( you thought you left that when you left school) two hotels”

    This is a tale of two hotels; same Group, Occidental, same company Barcello Both 4 star, both all inclusive, both in the Balearics both at end of September. So, lets start last year (2017) Occidental Barcello Ibiza Port de Torrent. I'll keep this brief - This is the best holiday hotel I have ever been to, the very best. The staff, well if I won the lottery I'd take the staff, all of them. From Francesca on reception, Frederiko in restaurant or Laura Guest Manager who brought my wife a birthday cake and on our last evening turned up with a load of goodies to say they have enjoyed our company and don't want us to leave. Its quite a big complex but seems cozy. The food was amazing every single day. room service, gardens pools and everything worked. No more to say except "GO THERE" if you want a lovely relaxed holiday away from the puking lager louts and women trying to up their score. It was completely out of the way. Move on one year and a new location. Occidental Barcello Cala Vinas. Majorca 2018. The Bus driver was amazing. The reception ( on one of the amazing design on different buildings and levels ( confusion), the reception had 4 staff and about 50 couples of tired people. .. finding their building, floor, bridge and lift. The room was lovely ( if you dont particularly want a bath with no plug, a cooker ( yes a cooker) no pans, cutlery etc, just a cooker. !! Hmmm They had very kindly given us the very end room so we had to walk the whole length of the substantial complex before we got to the restaurant. Like steak? not here . so hard I think I chipped a tooth. The service ( for self service) was clean and efficient being offered wine ( bottled of course) that was reasonable, but I thought the food was definitely not 4 star. Lots of staff, working hard but a 15 queue for bacon at Breakfast ? not good. Warm milk for cereal? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?? For 4 star all inclusive I'd expect a snack bar to have ice cream, beer, fruit drinks, fruit, colas, pastries, burgers etc This enticed us with burgers, maybe sausage, and not much else. Typical of this hotel its like a worn out maid who just wants to go home and soak her feet. Entertainment? 3 prancing idiots coming round shouting at the people who just wanted to lie in the sun in this quietand isolated hotel. It IS isolated and very peaceful and the staff work hard and try their best. Take this hotel out of commission for a thorough clean and updating and a rethink about how people have to drag their cases up 2 flights of steps to get to reception . If you were younger enough to do this you'd probably be down the coast with the dubious delights of Magaluff.

    “Week away”

    Just returned from a weeks stay at the occidental Cala vinas , if you we’re considering this hotel don’t bother , rooms very dated and shabby , pools totally in the shade at all times , food in the restaurant so cold you couldn’t eat it , it didn’t help the fact the plates we’re never heated . Certainly NOT a 4 star

    “My stay”

    It was OK. Pool was nice but there is no sunshine if you go there in October due to low sun.I had somo troubles with my room. First they gave me a room that was not ready at all, than the second room had some problems with the lock.
