    “A three star hotel - the beach access is the best thing about the hotel”

    The hotel was clean and is built onto the side of a cliff. This is excellent for those who enjoy the shade at the beginning and end of the day but if you want sun all day you will need to go the beach. The layout of the hotel is confusing at first but you get used to it after a few days. There are two modest sized clean pools with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is in a quiet area away in a mixture of residential apartments and small hotels. It costs about 6 euro in a taxi to Magaluf. The food was an adequate variety of food, however the restaurant lacked the basics. When entering the restaurant/ canteen you were not shown to a table, there was queues for the food, however at least it was cooked freshly. The hotel was lacking a lot of the basics that would be expected as standard in a 3 star not to mention a 4 star. We were a group of 5 ladies that all booked individual Superior Double rooms, the room was adequate however the wardrobe could not accommodate all my clothes etc and there were no drawers. There was no concierge service for those of us heavy luggage. There are no Tea and Coffee facilities in the room and when we agreed to pay the 20 euro to have a kettle we were advised that due to the number of babies at the hotel there were none available - why not buy more? Tea and coffee facilities should be standard. There were no ashtrays for friends who smoked, they were offered a cup with water in which was disgusting. We struggled to get a smile from most of the staff and at times felt like an inconvenience when asking for drinks at the bar - smiles were rare the same for Reception staff. I sensed the staff in general were unhappy and undervalued which in turn effected customer service standards. There is an excellent bar restaurant on the lowest level of the hotel by the beach. The staff are far happier. We were all inclusive, however chose to go the bar to be waited on and pay for food opposed to going to the canteen, the drinks were included in the hotel package. The best staff were Jacope and Juan, with a very good understanding of customer service and the hotel would benefit from promoting them both so that they are in a position to set an example for other staff. The beach was beautiful and clean with slowly graduating sand into crystal waters. Perfect for families with young children. The beach made my holiday. We were flying home later in the day and had previously emailed the hotel to request a late check out with no response. We repeated this request whilst we were there and was told to come back on check out day - which is standard in many hotels however I would have paid for the extra day to have my room to 7pm. The late checkout was unavailable on the last day and there were no courtesy room to shower before travelling. There was an open shower on the ground floor where I think the staff get changed - when i say open I mean no door and anyone could walk in and was showering in a state of nerves. If I had not have been the beach that day I would have not bothered. We booked direct with this hotel as we have stayed in Barcello's previously in other resorts, however this was below the standards we have previously enjoyed in other areas. I would only return to this hotel if there was a significant reduction on the rack rate that we paid and I went with the mindset of expecting 3 star standards. The hotel could be so much better with a few changes and some customer service training.

    “Not a four star hotel”

    Arrived late at night staff could not even get us a drink of water. Definitely not a four star more like a 2 star. Staff rude and unfriendly. Rooms are very dated, dirty and shabby. Restaurant is more like a school canteen but food ok. Do not book as we feel like it's wasted money. Booked with tui and tried to get hold of rep by txt and email but no response, another visitor got a response in German 😲. Rep only visits magaluf and don't come to this hotel. All in all a rubbish hotel and bad service by tui☹️

    “big disappointment”

    we arrived here at 3am and were given a room in ehat appeared to be a basement! the next morning we realised that our balcony was immediately next to the service road where all deliveries were made and all the staff congregated to have conversations. So after 4 hoyrs sleep we were rudely awakened. We complained and after a days delay they gave us another room. The new room is direvtly opposite the first room just two syoties higher. Guess what 6am this morning we were awakenef by two members if staff shouting at each other folliwed by the beeping of a lorry patking. I can not believe that the management moved us to this room! I would strongly nit reccommend anyone to stay at this hotel!

    “Mainly good but could be so much better!”

    Nice hotel, decent food choices but could be so much better. Rooms nothing special, air con barely worked, loose light fittings, uncomfortable beds, VERY loud evening entertainment (we had a 5 month old baby with us)Also, we had to take a minimum of 2 lifts to get to anything - not very pushchair friendly.Receptionists very helpful when we needed help finding a pharmacy and even phoned around to find one open on a Sunday evening that had the item in stock we needed the next day.We had a lovely holiday and it's a nice hotel, just think for the cost... They could do so much more to make it amazing.

    “Lovely place to stay”

    My girlfriend took me here to celebrate my 30th birthday. We loved it because it was right next to the beach and had several pools to choose from. We went Half Board which I thought was a great idea. The food is very nice and there is a large variety of food to choose from. The rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. The service was also very good, especially on reception. You do however need to get a taxi in order to go anywhere as a bit out of the way but is perfect if after a relaxed break. If you are after a few drinks, Magaluf is only a 5 minute drive in a taxi so doesn’t cost much. Loved the Western Water Park which is close by.
