Your experience begins in the lush fields of La Rekompensa, where the Banana Museum reveals the fascinating history and the different varieties of this prized fruit. As you progress, the historic cathedral of the former capital, Gáldar, welcomes you, being a beacon of tradition and a historic landmark for those who have travelled the Camino de Santiago.
Continue to the charming fishing town of El Agujero, which offers a unique dining experience with two local options. You can choose to dine at the “La Caldosa Restaurant”, renowned for its exquisite seafood cuisine, or enjoy a quick bite at the “Bar Tu Mismo”, which specializes in sandwiches and sandwiches. Food is not included. For those who prefer, they can bring their food and enjoy lunch next to the natural rock pools, while contemplating the breathtaking ocean views.
The highlight of your trip is the Sardina Lighthouse, where the end of the day is announced with a symphony of colours in the sky. Against the dramatic backdrop of the 'dragon tail' mountains and the famous Teide peak, the sunset at the Sardina Lighthouse's just fascinating. This tour goes beyond simply being a trip; it's a captivating narrative of Gran Canaria, offering a deep connection to the island's eternal charm.

- Entrance to Hacienda La Rekompensa — Banana Plantation and Museum. The regular price is 12€ per person. It includes a small tasting of a Canarian banana, jam and liqueurs made with plantain, and the possibility of buying these products there.
- Food: You will have free time to eat on your own at the “La Caldosa Restaurant” or the “Tu Mismo Bar” in El Agujero. You can bring your food and enjoy a meal next to the natural rock pools, contemplating the breathtaking ocean views.
Itinerary
Stop at: Pickups at different hotels
The tour begins with pickups starting from the south of the island in Puerto de Mogán; then we will proceed to pick up passengers in a sequence that will take us to Las Palmas, which will be our last pickup location before heading to our first stop.
Stop at: La Rekompensa Estate, Banana Estate
Here at La Rekompensa, immerse yourself in a comprehensive tour of the Banana Museum. This visit is not just for observation; it is an interactive delight, offering information about the cultivation and importance of bananas for agriculture and culture of the island, as well as a small tasting. The museum not only shows the wide variety of species, but it also tells their story, from flower to harvest.
Stop at: Gáldar, the old capital
In the heart of Gáldar, you'll feel the island's history enveloping you. As the former capital, it is a place where pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago find comfort and inspiration in the cathedral, a beacon of faith and heritage. This city is a living chronicle, which echoes the traditions that are part of the soul of Gran Canaria.
Stop at: Discover local dining options in the Hole
In AguJERO you will have free time to eat on your own in either of the two options:
- “La Caldosa Restaurant”, known for its seafood cuisine.
- “Bar Tu Mismo”, a small bar serving sandwiches and sandwiches.
Food is not included. If you prefer, you can bring your own food and enjoy your lunch next to the natural pools, contemplating the breathtaking views of the ocean.
Stop at: Free time in El AguJERO and relax in the natural rock pool
Dive into the pool of “The Hole”, a place where nature shows its contrast: the wild North Sea meets the serenity of tranquil natural rock pools. Explore the underwater biodiversity of Gran Canaria through a snorkel test. After your water adventure, you can enjoy some time to relax in the natural pools, while listening to the melody of the tide.
If tides or weather conditions do not allow for snorkeling, we will instead visit the charming coastal town of Sardina.
Stop at: Sardina Lighthouse (sunset)
The day's trip culminates at the Sardina Lighthouse. As the sun goes down, the silhouettes of the 'dragon tail' mountains and Mount Teide stand out majestically against the twilight sky, a view that captures the essence of the island's dramatic beauty.
Stop at: Return to the hotel
As dusk falls, our minivan will take you back to the pickup point, concluding a day of exploration, excitement and elevated experiences.

What to bring- Comfortable footwear (sandals and flip flops are allowed), and we suggest that you also bring shoes to avoid slipping in the natural pool., a backpack is essential (avoid bringing plastic and disposable bags), comfortable, waterproof clothing and sweatshirt, swimsuit, towel and a spare set of dry clothes, sunscreen, something light to eat (sandwich, fruit or bar), 1.5 l water bottle and online booking ticket. You will receive it in your email.
