Description

The legacy of Federico García Lorca remains deeply connected to Granada, a city that shaped both his life and his work. This private tour offers a thoughtful introduction to his world through places linked to his personal and creative journey.

Starting at Plaza Nueva, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, the route unfolds through locations associated with the poet. Along the way, your guide will outline the social and cultural context of early 20th-century Granada, providing a clearer understanding of the environment in which Lorca developed his voice.

The itinerary includes stops near the former Café Alameda, now known as Restaurante Chikito, where Lorca met with other intellectuals of his time, as well as streets such as Calle Mesones, connected to figures and moments that influenced his writing.

You will also pass by significant sites like the Federico García Lorca Centre, dedicated to preserving his legacy, and the Faculty of Law, where he studied.

The walk further explores areas with strong historical associations, including the surroundings of the Hotel Reina Cristina, which help contextualise the poet’s final days in Granada. Over approximately two hours, your official guide will share insights and anecdotes that bring together Lorca’s life and the city that inspired him.

An engaging way to experience Granada through a literary perspective while tracing the path of one of Spain’s most influential writers.
